Yeah ... I was going to say Golden Throat goes back at least to 2005 there. He was always one of the elite posters. And I think you're right about LB getting ready to get a lot of new members. I was going to make a post on Next-door.com but with all these smash brothers showing up it just made that plan seem I don't know ... like maybe I should wait and see how this is coming together first. Wuss attitude I know.
I think you should wait, let the organic visitors find us first. We don't want the wrong crowd coming in and then you're to blame. Just my opinion..
Whether on LB or LG, we’re all Lakers fans. I’m sure they love their community just like we love ours and it’s really just a testament to how great of a poster/writer/media creator Pete is, that we wish he were on LB too. But he knows about LB. Plus we have some fantastic poster too, so it’s all love no hate.
Everyone eventually settles on a place to call home, and it fits their personality, needs as a fan, etc. I view it like the 100’s of churches in a city. They say the best church is the one that you’ll actually attend LOL. And the best exercise for you is the exercise that you’ll actually do. The likelihood of getting members to move from other forums they are actively participating in is very low, but if you are a new fan looking for a place to call home, I don’t see anything that compares to this site. That being said: all sites have room for improvement, as technology never stops improving
This site has technology covered. Can't think of a single thing to make it better ... myself. Best graphics and color. Fast. Can load anything from various visual and audio media formats. Great members and Lakers discussion. Not 1 ... not 2 ... not 3 ... not 4 ....... but 5 great and different Lakers color schemes for your personalization. And pants down .... the finest, funniest and custom made for the site ... Gifs in the world. Even for chuckles ... has anyone ever seen anything even remotely approaching what @sirronstuff gives us here? The WORLD ... Baby!! ^^^ or another site that can even hold LB's jock with custom gifs does not exist.
I think some of the article writing, social media presence, video production, blogs, etc that some other sites might have are on our road map here as we grow. I even heard rumor of a press pass once. In time, this may be the one stop shop of all Laker fans. Just takes time to get there.
