Agreed, but Davis has earned more minutes than Wes, and should get them at the 4.

Wes played better than Kobe... Kobe might have had more points, but man. I'm so pissed, Kobe has only himself and Byron to be mad at.

Three half way solid games from Johnson. It must be some sort of miracle.

Wes seems to be benefiting from the Swag effect also.

At the game this was one of the only really exciting moments. This dingleberry will bring you out of your seat with something great, then bring you out of your seat wondering how he'd do something so dumb.

I'm glad he's playing a little better now, but he still needs to stop taking long jumpers.

Credit where it's due. Other than that one bonehead pass over everyone's head out of bounds, Wes played a pretty darned good game tonight. He's steadily getting better, thankfully. Now if we could just bench Boozer, we'd have a chance.

Yep this dingbat is finally flying. He's making less mistakes, playing better defense, but most of all he's getting out in transition and scoring easy baskets. I don't know who finally flipped the switch in his empty head, but he's playing very well right now. Props to him.

tough to say for me because Kobe did actuall have a nice stat line with a good FG% for a change:
    26 pts, 5 ast, 5 reb, 5 stl on 10-18 shooting.

Kobe did have those 2 missed FTs and missed GW.

Dont get me wrong Wes did have his best offensive game of the year 19 pts, 7-10 FG, 3-4 3pt. Impressive.

Wes is responding....his game is rising. Perhaps the Earl Clark and AK47 drumbeat plus fans is starting to inspire.

Not to mention the whole idea of roles and expectations. We don't have high expectations for Wes - so a game like last night is huge. His role is specific and we don't expect him to produce.

The flip side, our expectations for Kobe. If he doesn't drop 20 3/3 "he had a terrible game".

Outside of a few bone-head games from Kobe, Wes will never outplay him. Ever.

He looks much better now, improving in pretty much every category. Who knows how long this is going to last.

I like the fact that he is starting to settle down into the 3 and D that he should have been focused on all along. That's all we need out of him and if it's Scott who is drilling that into his head, great. Or maybe he just figured it out on his own (less likely). Whatever, good to see him stringing some good games together, finally!

I'm not convinced. I expect him to go back to worst player on the team soon, but I hope not. The day you see me echoing that he's turned things around is the day you know he must have changed because I'm a hard sell for this one

still good for a couple massive bonehead plays a night, but at least he's starting to knock down a shot here and there.

I just saw him in the post game interviews. He seemed painfully shy (maybe just soft spoken) which makes his career choice difficult. He has what Boozer and Price (a guard who plays point like a shooter and shoots like a point) potential. I have this saying, "You don't have to be smart to play basketball well, but you have to be smart to play it brilliantly." I think Wes can play well for us, and I feel it is mental pressure and nerves rather than intellectual paucity that results in his dumb plays. This is why Kobe has praised him and why Byron has actively supported him. He has an upside and I hope he proves us wrong ( I have been scathing myself at times about Wes).
