Dozier seems like the type of dude that looks REALLY good one on one.

Nothing wrong with developing this guy for the next two years. This is the time to capitalize on trying to make a lil farm system while you have cap for the big dogs.

A lot to really like about this kid. Great basketball build and looks to be a good to very good (higher ?) athlete. Get him and Hart too for that matter dialed in much finer with the handles drills the Lakers are using and whoever that guru is on the staff. Another elite potential physically equipped defender as well. Jumpers in the clip below near the end sure don't look bad and he shoots a real J and gets up in the air. Decent to good passer, gets around screens on D, closes well .... just a lot to like. Really long with his wingspan. Good luck kid! A nice thing about the new Gatorade league if he has to go there for a awhile is they're supposed to be paying better now I believe I have read, plus whatever the Lakers may have had to pay?

I think this guy will have a chance to be Justice Winslow 2.0. Teams will regret not taking a flyer on him. This guy can be a defensive specialist and hope he gives Nwaba a run and beats him out.

Anthony Brown was dubbed a shooter coming out of college. Dozier is not that. He is a great defender with tremendous length for his size in his wingspan. As some have alluded to, just needs a jumpshot.

    I think he's exclusively a G-Leaguer.

He's got lots of raw ability, but he also needs a tremendous amount of work.

    What is the G-League?

I've heard it, but I don't get it. Never looked into it.

Gatorade bought the D-League or something, so now it's the G-League. That's it, same league new name.

Gatorade. I think they are sponsoring going forward. Better pay too for the players.

Or bought it like Weezy says above.

Weezy is 100% correct. Gatorade is the new sponsor for the D-League so they changed the name.

LTL is also correct. The new bargaining agreement has made contracts more lucrative and more beneficial for the players. I'm going to look more into it tomorrow.

Yeah, now there is what's called 2-Way contracts.

    Absolutely.

Rosters are now set at 17 instead of 15 with two of those spots going to "two way contracts". Players now have a chance to earn a pro-rated NBA contract up to 45 games along with their G-League salary. This was created to try to fight players stashing themselves overseas and create more of a farm system in the US.

It's a perfect fit for Dozier who I believe can be an NBA talent, he just needs more seasoning.

"Players now have a chance to earn a pro-rated NBA contract up to 45 games"

    What does that mean?

They can earn NBA-minimum type money on top of their already existing G-League contract.

See, I didn't know all this took place with the D-League. Thanks for the information. Dozier is a project, but could be a nice role, eventually...

Dozier needs to work on becoming a Tony Allen elite type of defender.... that itself, hustling and running and gunning with ball a shot a slasher can earn him a spot.

I know chances aren't great, but I'm rooting for Dozier to make this team.

Would y'all say he has elite athleticism? The SEC doesn't play when it comes to talent/athleticism and his tourney run does mean something with all those clogged holes in the paint.
