He also wouldn't say if it was a KOTOR film. It wouldn't be the right time for him to confirm that.

I do believe it'll be set far in the past in that universe. I believe he's going to get into some weird stuff in Last Jedi and that stuff will likely be "ancient" to them. His next trilogy will probably be about the way those weird things came into existence. That's the way I see it anyway.

For what it's worth, Rebels and Clone Wars really delved into some weird Star Wars mythology already. There's precedent for some truly weird crap.

they might be sitting on that, and/or developing it in a much deeper way than before as its a sure draw. No need to rush it out if they are planning to make 20 years worth of films

True. Old Republic will draw. It's why I wonder if they are saving it for their show. Perhaps they use the Old Republic fan base to launch the show. I think with the films, people will watch it regardless. A TV show on a streaming service that hasn't even launched yet? They may need the "name" of the Old Republic to draw in as many people as possible.

I would buy the stream just for that honestly.

I bought a ticket for Thursday night, but I think I'm waiting on the next viewing until maybe Monday or something. I want to go to a showing that won't be quite as crowded. :D

A lot of the tweets from media at the premiere say avoid spoilers for this one big time. Apparently the scum of the earth out there are changing their usernames in Battlefront 2 to spoilers for the movie, so avoid that if you play. Obviously be careful on Twitter and Facebook, I’m avoiding movie site and YouTube comments sections altogether.

I actually stopped watching TV spots and have avoided any featurettes. I haven't seen any new footage since whatever the last trailer to premiere was.

My buddy has basically gone entirely social media silent. I'm also rewatching 4-7 when I get home from work this week. :D

Yeah. The "avoid spoilers like the plague" reactions are having me wonder what exactly happens? Does the movie open up back with Rey and Luke and from the sky Kylo yells, "YOLO" and incinerates them in the first minute of the movie, then "PWNED" flashes across the screen?

Just read a one line take on The Last Jedi that said better than empire strikes back..........I have serious doubts that's true, IMO Empire is by far the best film and stands on its own as a fantastic movie that stands the test of time, but what if it actually is?

It’s possible, based on personal taste, but I doubt it. I doubt you can say that after 1 or 2 viewings either. Empire is the perfect SW movie, and it’s held up for 37 years. I have read and heard that Hamill is excellent in this one, and some are amazed that he could jump back into the character with such ease after not having played Luke since 1983. Carrie Fisher is said to be much better in this than TFA as well. I’ve only read certain reviews, thankfully I didn’t read the Variety one, as Kristian Harloff was warning people on Twitter it contained spoilers and didn’t warn people of that fact.

I doubt it too. I take a lot of the positivity with a grain of salt. If you are at the premiere with all the stars, lights and electricity, you will probably be influenced a bit by that.

Good idea. Avoid any comments section anywhere too. People are dropping by random places to drop spoilers.

I had Han’s death spoiled for me 2 years ago in a YouTube comments section of a NON-Star Wars related video... I have not looked at a YouTube or entertainment site’s comments section since Saturday. I’m also avoiding YouTube pretty heavily altogether as I subscribe to a lot of SW talk channels and some of them are posting videos ABOUT spoilers and storylines confirmed, with pictures as their video thumbnail. Everyone says avoid spoilers for this movie as their are twists and turns you don’t see coming. I must go into this fresh, I want my “No, I am your father moment” damnit.

Yeah. Han's death was spoiled for me too, but I gotta say, I was sort of counting on it. I knew there was no way Harrison Ford was going to be in all three of those movies. He wanted to die at the end of RotJ. I figured the only way he comes back is if they let him die.

Ford had been trying to kill Han since the 80s lol. I didn't have it spoiled, so it was a bit shocking when it happened. But it made perfect sense.
