Love that Rondo is so engaged even while injured. Love that Luke is not hesitant to set boundaries for him.

    Per Ohm:

We need to keep Rondo under some capacity next year. I hope he's not a 1&done.

Rondo, McGee and Chandler need to be told explicitly, that we want them to stay with the Lakers way before summertime.

We can’t make the same mistake we made with Brook, and lose good and cheap pieces for nothing.

The Rondo part of this tweet is alarming - 26th in ORtg since Rondo went out, yikes

I'm perplexed by Rondo....we look better defensively...but significantly worse offensively...soooo do we need this guy back or not?

I feel like I'd rather be better offensively than defensively since nobody really plays defense nowadays...idk that's just me.

We do need him back. We need his leadership on the court.

Yes, we do. I'm not sure why you are thinking our improved defense is a result or has any correlation to Rondo being out. It helps that when Rondo was out we picked up Tyson, we've played an easier schedule, and the team has bought in more and are playing defense on a string more often.

Well, the bench doesn't really have a facilitator without Rondo on the floor. Hart has also taken a bit of a step back with him trying to do so, Ingram and Lebron are being forced into a facilitator role when they should be doing more off ball work to get into scoring position.

While Rondo has defensive shortcomings, we were starting to trend in the right direction with him and Chandler on the floor together for the bench. I'd like to see Mo at the 4 possibly too. We need more energy and hustle out there because our current system hasn't quite settled yet.

I agree, the bench misses him.

Hey, leave Birdman alone, man. He only do handrubs and stuff.

Back on topic, it sucks that Rondo had to miss time on the court at the time the Lakers had a shot at the best record in the West.

I'd love to see the difference of pace played with Rondo available and the one since his injury

Before the suspension: 112 (3rd in the league)

    During suspension: 103.89 (10th)

    After suspension/Before injury: 104.61 (4th)

    During injury: 100.36 (16th)

Another crazy aspect is that with Rondo we're middle of the pack (13th) in assist ratio, but are close to the bottom (27th) during these last 7 games when he was injured.

Also without Rondo, we're now dead last in the troll game.
