My only comfort is that we have a guy vicious enough to trick a blind man to get what he wants...

Lakers glasses on, I don’t see how PG could watch this, put himself in place of KCP in his mind, and not want to be part of it.

If we really end up with 2 stars...I much rather have George and LeBron for free rather than gut the young guys for Kawhi.

George, Ingram, Kuzma and more is 1000 times better than just Kawhi Leonard.

I would pull the trigger on the Kawhi Leonard trade if

    a) we can end up with all three (George, LeBron and Kawhi)
    b) or if LeBron specifically makes that a condition for his signing (which I don't believe personally).

    Stay calm, guys.

We are in good position. Just be positive. We got this; Lebron will be here, and we will build out this roster.

    Playoffs - next season.

We're letting everyone use up their money, and then we are going to assemble the most amazing set of players/assets that will blow your mind.

Many of those assets will be used to trade for Kawhi later in the year. It's all good.

    Also eff Lebron.

Well... I’ve been drinking all evening, so I feel pretty good in that regard. I don’t know if that’s optimistic, but I feel..positive, not much worries. :D I’m still optimistic LeBron will be a Laker, though if that doesn’t happen, you’ll see me in the WMC thread real quick.

Now that the PG saga is over (thank God we dodged that bullet), we can finally go all in on Brandon Ingram. No more silly trade talks and the like. He’s the future.

    Sign Lebron.
Sign Boogie to a 1+1 deal.
Resign Randle to the QO or a 1+1 deal.
BroLo on whatever exception we have.
Fill out roster with vet mins.

I'm over that one guy. Do whatever it takes to get Lebron, roll with the young kids. Don't do something rash to get Kawhi, sweat the Spurs out until the trade deadline if you have to and offer them Randle, Zu and draft picks. Move on to 2019 new old plan.

There is actually a higher than 50% chance that BI is better than George in 2 years. I'm almost certain that will be the case.

Alright folks. Take a deep breath.

LeBron still hasn't signed anywhere and we're still the odds on favorite to sign him. There are numerous other options we have in order to fill out our team. There are still a half dozen players that are out there that can help this team compete.

But most importantly, let's say we strike out on LeBron as well, what's the worst that happens? We keep all our kids that we were all so excited about that three days ago we wouldn't trade them for Kawhi? Even keel people. The worst case scenario means we build around our kids and most of you guys wanted to do that this whole time. George spurning us for less money in a worse situation is a testament to his stupidity, not our team.

There is plenty of time left and lots of moves to be made. Take a breath everyone. We're going to be okay.

As long as we keep our young guys I'm very happy with the situation. I agree Ingram will be better than pg soon. Last years draft was incredibly good we are set for a long time and this year's has a really good feel to it as well. Our young guys are good character hard working guys. Keep drafting that way and keep building our team. Many might disagree but I believe keeping Randle is a big key. His toughness and work ethic makes him a very unique player. Watch him close and appreciate him. The biggest, strongest and toughest don't want to match up against him. He bangs them around and hurts people. They get mad, he laughs. Tell me we don't need what he brings. I can tell you from coaching all teams play with more confidence with a bruiser backing them up. Keep Randle and we are good. Go down our list and really evaluate these guys on Hart, guts and talent. I want to see this group developed and I believe and hope that Magic and Rob see it too.
