Solid vet off the bench, and good for a couple highlight dunks a year. Stay in yo lane.

And he was a four year college grad too, not a one and done like Ball, Ingram and Randle. He at least needs to shoot the open shots he has. If they don't go down that's one thing but to not even try just kills us out there.

I'm being harsh on him, but he just hasn't developed anything on the floor. He's still valuable as a hustle big and an athletic, vertical floor spacer, but he's still got no jumper, limited handle, spotty court vision, a step slow defensively. Right now he's just an energy big and that's okay, but it's a limited role. If he were 6'11" or 7' instead of 6'9" he'd have a good shot at 10 million dollars. As it is, he's Ronny Turiaf and Josh Powell right now. Good player to have, but he's going to have a limited role.

If we're benching Randle at the PF spot, it should be in favor of Kuzma, not Nance Jr.

Nance isn't starting material. I would have thought we had figured that out by now, as it was obvious last year as well. I know he worked on his jumper this summer but he isn't taking the shots that are there so the net gain on that is zero. If he starts taking and making them then he might at least have a case for starting.

with him trimming weight n not adding bulk he should've worked more on refining his O, he can't defend PF or C in addition to not offering anything offensively.

Why do I have this feeling that Luke keeps him in the starting lineup?

So I'm loading up and scouring for tidbits to defend my guy...but then I look at the last 4 preseason games and the guy is an overwhelming net negative when he's on the floor. He only cracked a positive impact (+1 at that) for last nights game, otherwise, he's been hurting the team when he's been on the floor...and I'm not thrilled about it at all.

Nance, where's that Grit you were talking about on media day? You need to turn this s*** around, my dude.

I think he does too. It's not the worst thing in the world because his hustle style will complement Brook, but I do think it weakens the starting unit.

Having Kuzma/Randle off the bench should be fun though.

Yeah, the bench will be fun with Kuz/Randle if kept that way. Provided it is kept that way, we should outperform most bench on most nights, IMO. We can also close with the best forwards who are going that game...

Nance isn’t a center and that really hurt his usefulness the first few games. I’m ok with Luke experimenting with him in the starting lineup for better ball movement and defense. He’s got to stop passing up shots though and make the ones he takes.

If Hearn was alive today and calling the game...he'd say "Ball goes to Nance, he wouldn't shoot even if you put a gun to his head."

Jeezus then Luke in all his fairness here should give Kuzma a shot to start too in Ingram's spot in the very last pre-season game. And hope like hell Kuz doesn't put up 22, 8 and 6.

If Clarkson hadn't become so incapable of living up to 6th man hype ....Kuz some of the time at least per match ups and Randle wouldn't be getting dropped onto the 2nd string.

I'm glad they are giving it another go mainly because I want to see Randle and Kuzma play together again.

Saw Nance take a perimeter shot in the second quarter (and missed)...shocked the living crap out of me. Maybe he's playing badly so he won't be trade bait.
