    I can see him being traded to the Clippers, simply because he reportedly said he wants to be “in LA”, not “a Laker”. That small distinction allows the Spurs to give him his wish and screw us.

    Most reports say "he wants to be in LA, with the focus on the Lakers. The Clippers would be considered". Not a ringing endorsement, but you may be right. Needs to cut that Clipper talk out right now.

    The Clippers don't have anything to build around if they trade all their assets for him. DJ's most likely gone, their best player is a sixth man, and they'd likely have to give us Harris and their first rounders to get him.

    There would be no incentive for him to sign an extension and the Clippers would lose all their assets. By all means Jerry. Give him a season of hell to let him walk across the hall to your son next season.

    I won't cry if he's traded to the Clippers. There's no guarantee he's going to sign an extension with them. He can sign with us in 2019.

    harris/12th should get it done....they got west whos good at recruiting. im fine with this route, as long as we get pg/james or dmc...get both la teams relevant again

    The clippers have 2 lottery picks. And no, he can’t just walk across the hall and sign with us in 2019 because if the FO’s plan works, LeBron and PG will be Lakers this offseason and there won’t be money to sign him next offseason. If he wants to be a Laker it needs to get done now.

    Just hoping Spurs continue to be laid back in terms of getting a trade down. If draft night passes, I think it certainly benefits us over the Clippers.

    I just dont want to be taken to the cleaners by being desperate.....if we get pg/james on deck w/o losing the core, it wouldn't be to bad if we did get leonard the most i want to lose is Ingram/Picks....I prefer my ideal team of Pg, Leonard, Dmc and resigned randle anways. I dont want to deal with James and all his hoopla. DMC/PG can happen if Pg opts in to get traded and Dmc takes 1+1 and we move deng for cheaper contract to stretch (ie. felicio, asik, plumlee, etc.)

    I don’t like LeBron either, but I think I don’t like players coming off achilles injuries more. I wouldn’t count on Cousins ever being the same, so I really don’t want him.
