    I disagree...it's a salary dump of a loyal player and it's terrible optics for potential free agents.

    Toronto took a hard L on this one. They had to overpay players before cause of their market. But while Masai is there, what free agent is going to seriously look at them unless a monumental bag ain't involved?

    I'm very interested to see where he's at physically. If he's back 100%, I'm definitely willing to talk to Toronto at the deadline.

    For a guy that's potentially gonna leave for nothing...that's a decent haul.

    We would have to include future picks as well for them to take on Deng.

    But a Laker deal for Kawhi cant happen without Deng being involved and us protecting Zo and BI from being included.

    KCP has a no-trade clause and I doubt dude would consent a trade to Toronto. Rondo doesn't make enough and needs to get aggregated with Lance and about 6m more in team salary (Moe, Zu, Svi and Bonga works), but that's alot bodies that HAVE to go out just to make the numbers work in that deal.

    BI doesn't even have to be involved unless Toronto places us in a bidding wat with the cLips.

    I'm just glad we get a front row seat to see if Kawhi can even hold up throughout the regular season and playoffs. That has always been my greatest concern and I'm glad we aren't the team that has to make that gamble.

    I was thinking we could of landed Kawhi and Green by trading Deng, Ingram and Hart. Green still has game, great 3&D player.

    Lonzo
    Green
    Kawhi
    Lebron
    Lopez

    Was the team I was hoping for at the start of free agency.

    I think now we can hope to sign Kawhi outright next off season. Toronto low key dumping salary for an expiring Kawhi.

    I’m happy to be keeping Ingram and Hart. They’re my two favourite lakers currently.

    It's looking like the Raptors may have to deal Kawhi anyways. Clippers and Lakers are the two teams and Lakers have better talent.

    I'm thinking the Lakers are forward heavy if they sign Leonard next year. Might be more realistic that the Lakers move Kuzma or BI for Kawhi. Team gets balanced more that way plus we have to consider future contracts.

    KCP/Hart
    Leonard
    James or Kuzma at PF
    McGee

    That is a crazy defensive lineup in different combinations.

    Lakers get Kawhi without giving up anything significant, PG doing what he did may have actually been a good thing for the Lakers. I also still believe the Lakers may have no put a lot of effort into getting him knowing they had Kawhi waiting in the wings
