    Cool. Explain that to me. Is there an existing relationship between AEG and New Balance? Is the purpose of the meeting about Kawhi specifically?

    Not a strong existing relationship but a budding one. Jeanie has asked AEG to use this to pitch Kawhi this summer, and they are working on it. They've been talking to Kawhi's uncle and New Balance about a deal structure in the 8 figure range should he end up a Laker. Kawhi though is not forthcoming in his intentions and this does not mean anything as far as him actually signing here. AEG would also rather have Durant as he's worth more, but the Lakers guys prefer Kawhi. LeBron has been talking to both also.

    He's coming in for a different (not basketball) reason, but I'll see if I can learn more about this.

    You're right. My mistake. It is DeMartini coming in for New Balance discussions, but he's not the CEO anymore. My guess is its to probably make some external intros for our New Balance project, but let me ask because now I'm confused too.

    I haven't met with them since last year, so I completely forgot!

    I don't put much stock into what Screamin A reports as insider info, but he did say this...



    And a flight from Philly to Akron is like 1.5hrs.



    I'm guessing this is where the recent Kawhi to Lakers rumors are stemming from, cause Bron's definitely been in Mr. Kawhi's neighborhood as of late.

    Kawhi just became a Toronto legend and it’s only round 2. He either is going to have to really hate Toronto weather, or really, really want to come home to join any LA teams.

    I think it comes down to money and branding. He didn’t feel like he was getting the endorsements in San Antonio that he would get in a bigger market. I think Toronto, although a big city, is not Los Angeles. And if Mr. Rambis is right AEG will make sure he knows how much he can make in LA.
