Sucks to see him get injured, but I think pretty much everyone here has been pleased that he's been getting a lot of playing time for a while there. Would have liked to have seen him play more 4th quarters as some pointed out, but if they wanted to not push his minutes too far in his rookie year I'm fine with that. If he doesn't play the rest of the season, it's only 7 games, we got a really good look at him and I think it's clear he's a young guy with a lot of potential and he will be in our future plans unless some team really wants him and offers something special in return.
He's not coming back this year. Sucks because he was getting minutes, but I guess in a positive point of view he's only going to miss the remaining games we have and not more. Had this happened a month ago it was be more of a bummer IMO. Rest up Zu, get back, and then attack this off-season like you are planning to.
Too bad he couldn't finish but he had himself a good first season in the league especially for his age. Easy kid to root for and we sure could use a good to very good center again. His arms in a photo in the Times next to Towns's arms looked skinny. I hope he doesn't take too long of a vacation and can come back stronger by a decent margin.
Zu said he could put weight on it, so I don't think it's too bad. I believe he'll recover quick enough to resume offseason training.
I wonder if Ivica (wow first time I've ever called him that I think) ..... before he gets to Croatia, and hopefully while there too with time shift viewing at least is watching as much of Marc Gasol vs Pau Gasol and all the other quality NBA big men in the Playoffs. To see the difference in the play and physicality and what it's going to take from him if he wants to be really good. I sure would hope so. I would also hope it was mentioned to him in his exit meeting. My gut says 50-50% chance he does. Hope he does!
