Thrown in tonight to tangle with that mountain Adams. Held his own though most of the time he was being rag-dolled. Missed most of his flip shots but made his free throws. Had some good interaction with Bryant late in the game. Still not that fleet changing ends. Could have had a nice block but came off the ball for a foul.
Jeezus .... c'mon guys .... Zu was nearing page 3 territory. Hey like I said last time he got some minutes he's moving much better now and moving his feet better. He's starting to play more like a man. Not a bad 1 -2 punch at the 5 at all for when we need true bigs and of course Randle can play small ball five. Going to be a different last 1/3 of the season. HA just beat me to it gcclaker.
I had to laugh when Adams moved him a couple of feet while George was at the charity stripe. Kuzma was holding on for dear life and got called for a foul. Crazy enough I like him more on the low block than Lopez. More decisive on his back to the basket moves.
offense a little rusty but the passing out of the low post, block attempts were decent and better than I thought he would do in there. Yes, Adams had his way with Zu on the boards for some parts of the game, but he does that against every big in the league this year.
Honestly, Zu did alright trying to keep Adams from getting too many offensive boards. It probably would've been worse if Westbrook was playing and rotating out, but he tried his best. He's still a big body in the paint and affects a lot of shots, but he was definitely a little rusty.
Agreed... No better way to get indoctrinated to the game than being thrown out there against one of the considered best low post big currently. Adams looks like someone you'd encounter at a biker bar.
Steven Adams is from New Zealand and his mother is Tongan. Jason Momoa is from Honolulu and his father is native Hawaiian. Both have strong Pacific Island heritage.
I'm part Hawaiian that's all, just wanted to throw it out there. I always think it's cool seeing some of Pac Island people out there doing big things.
Zubac has shown that he is a perfectly acceptable 2nd string center. He just needs to play more and get more confident. But he does have the talent - and the size.
They need to give him some minutes after the All Star Break, evaluate him, and decide what they want to do with him...
I have very little opinion of it. Never saw it. And yes, it's in our blood! As is heart disease and diabetes!
