I love how quiet it is about Lopez until he has a game people can b**** about. Ya'll aren't even subtle.

Zubac was fine. He looked like a bench big to me in there with good chemistry cleaning up and being ready around the rim for IT. IT looked like a bench guy to me too (he always has honestly).

he was still kinda slow helping on d, but it was better than earlier this season (where he was rooted). i like that he just found ways to be around the rim on offense. he can carve out a nice career just doing stuff like that (assuming he can be passable defensively).

He had one really great rotation where he vertically challenged Jimmy Butler, but I can't remember another one before that. Hopefully more reps means he'll look better.

By the way, I think giving him more minutes right now is a pretty transparent attempt at creating a market for him this summer as part of the Deng-dump.

As well as seeing what he's got and where he's at development wise if we consider keeping him. Great either way.

Sure it's possible he plays so well the Lakers decide they can move on from Thomas Bryant, but I think the Lakers love that kid. I think the Lakers view Thomas as a potential Brook replacement. Big, fairly athletic, can shoot the ball... I think they see more in him (especially since the current FO is the ones who drafted him).

Yeah I could see that as well. Just think Zu finally showing signs of being maybe a Marc Gasol impact type of player couple years from now. But if T. Bryant can rim protect too hopefully (maybe better than Zu) .... then what's not to love with the speed, the motor, the shooting talent and more.

    His hips I guess.

I'm still weirded out by them. I heard someone else say maybe it's his knees that are actually the problem and I've been trying to watch that in his G-League games. It's possible that his legs need to gain strength to carry around his big frame which makes him run weird, but he's so explosive in space I have a hard time seeing that...

    I don't know. Weird. :D

KAT you weren't fond of his base and legs either but these guys are young and maybe another year with a pro training facility and staff gets him looking a Lot better even. Bryant does seem to be a decent athlete.

Towns still tends to flail a bit and I took that for weakness when I watched him in college, but he's just a flail-y kind of person. Long arms and legs that fly all over the place. One thing he does a lot less is landing on one foot in traffic, he did that a lot in college and made me very, very nervous.

He still looks a little top heavy to me too, but it's working for him for now.

Randle knocked his FAT a** flying at the top of the key early on. Randle is a Brahma Bull. He's not FAT.

To be fair Towns knew what Julius wanted and was flopping a lot.

The one I'm referring to it's physically not possible to flop with that kind of velocity.

I haven't smiled and laughed like I did last night for a while in the way that the Legend Kevin Harlan was talking about our guy Zubac. Awesome!

Just some of the gold Kevin gave us last night

Harlan was just beside himself about Zubac. Great clean-ups on those misses. Oh and Zubac clearly did not touch that ball on that turnover.

Telling quote about how he feels that Thomas makes the game easy and simple. I also did not understand why Zubac wasn't in much during the fourth. Nance Jr. is probably a proud dad after last night.
