A few more 3-15 shooting nights, and he might even command the MLE next year.

He was alright in this game. Many of his misses early were shots he knew Zubac was in position to clean up. I didn't like some of his early threes and contested shots, but he is still finding his spot in the offense and honestly I'm okay with early shots as long as you're competing on the other end. Defensively he was working about as hard as he can and while he was still scored on, he was there fighting and that's honestly all we can ask for.

C+ on the night. He'll get better.

Pedal to the medal the midget driving through the trees to the hoop. Brandon Ingram at the start of the year esque.

i didn't mind the misses on drives, either. kobe assists--drawing the d wins half the battle; just get the ball up on the glass.

his quick and/or contested jumpers were abhorrent, however.

honestly, he looks like a poor man's jjb these days.

Clearly nowhere near the same player as last year. Hope he recovers for his sake. If not, he might be out of the league in a year or two.

I'm not worried...he's still adjusting and we have a lot of road games this month. Let's get him some home games to get his rhythm back and I think he'll be straight. Post ASB, I predict he'll have a huge 2 months for us. We're not making the playoffs unfortunately...this 3-game losing streak probably did us in...but IT2 isn't going to go down without a fight. This guy showed me how much heart he has last year in the playoffs, and I think we'll see that IT2 very soon (we kinda saw it in the Dallas game, and he got screwed in the Pels game...)

We've at least been very competitive when he's in the game.

Shot poorly from the perimeter... Defenders know that he does not have the quicks yet so they press him up top. Passed well enough for assists and some hockey ones too.

Overpay him and not play him?

    :Randallconfused:

Or sign him to a big contract, watch him get fat, and then turn him into a human meme?

What! The light skinned connection is over?

I need to see quotes or video of what Kuz has to say about this.

Edit: They actually are doing the shooting competition against Miles and Shaw. Miles is just feeding them the ball. This is a none story......yet.

Wish I felt more optimistic about having IT here for what he should obviously mean on the offensive side of the ball to the team but rather have this sense of dread hanging over me for all of the mismatches the midget will be targeted for with the Lakers switch everything style of defense. And zenmaster has gotten in my head about Luke not figuring it out quickly how to modify switch everything. Even Clarkson was significantly better equipped finally this season for that. And no solid Nance off the bench anymore having been replaced by a fancy appendectomy procedure.

Ultimately, none of that matters, because this season does not matter that much (aside from the fact that we are developing Ball, Kuzma, Hart and Ingram). We have to get rid of some salary, Isiah helped us there and that's it. We're not going to need Nance off the bench, and we certainly are not going to need Clarkson. Good guys, both of them and I wish them luck, but you can't have so much youth on your team. You keep only the best and you hope you make a big splash in the offseason.

Of course it matters as we need to start winning a bunch of games and looking like a team on the rise a free agent would want to come to, rather than getting our a**** kicked 2 out of every 3 for the rest of the season. Obviously IT won't be here.

We'll see about winning a bunch of games when Zo comes back. There's nothing special that we can do about it at this point. My guess is that we'll win some, lose some, nothing great or horrible. We are the team on the rise, at least our young guys are. Everyone knows that. But we need stars.

We'll never really know what the off-season will bring. We should view IT as a potential FA this offseason, and try to do our best to integrate him into this team right now. Maybe he'll fit in, maybe he won't, but we shouldn't just view him as a expiring contract that we're going to dump during the offseason.

Julius Randle would be a far more strategic FA than IT to sign. Not even comparable. You always take the beast over the midget.
