I just noticed Brooklyn has the #22 pick, we couldn't get that for D'Lo?!?!

He better have a serious crystal meth addiction to justify this

Huge shocker, I was really prepared to root for DLO for years to come. I'm not turning on Magic/Rob yet, I'm willing to see what else they have in store.

It is ... true vindication !!!

Nostradamus of our time ... I got banned for 2 things at Leftistground

    1. Hating the DLo pick from day 1 and reminding them

    2. Telling all the crackhead libs that the Donald would win

There is nothing left to say

Time to BALL out LAKER FANS!!!

    Rejoice!

yeah there must be something seriously wrong with d-lo that GM's know about and we don't

there is no way he shouldn't be able to return a pick at least in the 10-20 range

F*** this noise. I'm livid. There has to be something lined up AND serious character issues with D-lo we're not privy to.

I feel cheated out of seeing Ball and Dangelo on the court together. I think they would've meshed really well.

LOL wouldn't that be something. They like Nick and give him a nice little raise and say keep up your defense, hitting 3s and staying out of trouble. Nick has the last laugh.

Nah. That's f****** impossible scenario right?

Could they be very much enamored with one of the young guards they brought in that they think is going to be able to handle, shoot well and play good defense?

Probably f****** impossible scenario too. All I got.

This is a bit strange to me. Other GM's know about DLO's issues but we're in the dark. No raports, no clues, not a single tweet. If this is all about that "phone fiasco", then LOL, world we live in is doomed.

I think the late season benching was a good clue, I didn't buy the "experimenting" pc bs Luke was spewing one bit.

Not in a mood to check other sports/team boards but we must be a laughing stock right now, right? We'll provide some good doom for them, no doubt :(

This is Magic and Pelinka's first year and they were gifted the #2 pick and I think they got way in over their heads. They were probably impressed with one of the draft prospects and decided to dump Russ.

Magic did mention that he wanted players to come into camp in shape and Randle had a transformation.

Could it be that he was also referring to Russ as well? The kid can shed some weight too so he could be a little bit quicker in today's league.

I'm fine with trading Russell. Just think we sold way too soon. I really think he would have put up good numbers with Lonzo then we could have gotten more for him.

    I feel this actually happened:

ESPN: Phil Jackson open to trading Kristaps Porzigis

    Magic: Rob, hold my beer....

    I was excited for a Ball/Russ lineup.

Turn Russ into a SG and let Ball do the PG work. That would have been a very good tandem...maybe...just maybe another Curry/Klay type partnership.

Wow. As John said, I too was truly looking forward to seeing a Ball Russell backcourt next season. I don't get the rush to dump Mozgov and putting in Russell in the trade makes it seem desperate and foolish to me.

If all we are going to do is try to position ourselves to go after George and Lebronze next summer, then I'm pretty upset about this. If this was necessary in order to get George here now, then I guess I can live with it.
