doesn't look like they work on D correctly then, opponents still getting wide open 3's and its always the good 3pt shooters that seems to get open to boot. I can understand the bigs getting opened looks at 3's but when guy like Garry Harris who is known as a big time 3pt threat and was actually hot early, is still getting open looks, then they're not practicing correctly.

Alright Luke, you're a cool guy and very likeable but you need to start coaching something. Really needed to hire a defensive minded assistant this offseason, not another development coach. Focus of training camp was defense yet we still look awful out there except maybe the first 4 mins. Practically no semblance of a half court offense. You'd think we would look at least a little better after all this talk from Luke, Magic, Jeanie, Rob, Bertha over summer.

Agreed, most of that 2nd quarter I kept looking at rob and magic sitting court side facing the Lakers bench thinking to myself... "I wonder what they are thinking now".

I’m not going to get too down on Luke before we have our full squad, but certain things don’t need time to be criticized. NANCE IS NOT A C, HE CANNOT GUARD PLUMLEE. ENOUGH ALREADY.

Yes, but you can still not shoot yourself in the foot by not doing obviously stupid things. Nance can’t guard a dude that big, he’s going to get backed down and owned, he’s going to get outrebounded. And that’s going to make the defense work harder from offensive rebounds given up, and makes offense tougher because we’re tired and mistakes start to get magnified because they’re scoring so easily.

That starts with having to help off their man though, which ALWAYS happens when Nance is in a mismatch against a giant player. It’s ok for you to agree with me on something, really, I’m not saying anything radical here.

We look like s***. Not all of that is on Luke; but he deserves some blame/responsibility for some of these things...

He deserves a lot of blame. What are we doing out there? The guys are completely lost. I won't put all the blame on Luke since there's some effort, but they shouldn't be this lost, especially guys who were here last season. They can have all the fun they want in camp when we're winning, but where's all that work? Where's the hours these guys put in? So far it's all looking like a hype machine and we're failing to live up to expectations.

These guys don't know what they're doing defensively and that's all they've worked on since camp started. Sure, sure, they're young and it's all new, but then why do the young guys in Minnesota and Denver get it already? Isn't that coaching?

We have a few days until the next preseason game so hopefully they'll be able to implement some sort of scheme on either end of the court.

If we look like garbage 2 months into the season, pull the pitchforks out of Boron's corpse.

Step your game up Luke. We played no D under 'antoni but we scored at will. We sucked on O under Brown but our D was there. So far we look like ish on both ends of the floor...

I will never miss him no matter how bad it gets. That’s like saying you miss Dwight Howard.
