Maybe till Zo gets a voice to lead verbally, it's going to go to Rondo.

We gotta be patient with em, but we gotta stop finesse'n our youngns.

To Luke credit , he managed Lebron minutes well in the 2nd half . Gave him a early rest so no Q4 rest

Defense aside, I actually saw the Lakers trying out some good stuff on offense tonight. Not all of it paid off, but definitely a step in the right direction.

Don't have time to break down the plays, but I'm sure LFR or someone else will do it.

I actually like that lineup with ball, hart,bi,kuz that was all on the floor together at one pt. Let ALL the youth together, they played well on both sides of the ball for a short stretch there. Those 4 are our core, give them ALL the minutes they can handle....Lance has his moments and but his iso heavy ball dominating way is such a burden when we're in close games and KCP is just garabge, no D, poor shooting and just generally a bad player

I noticed this as well...there were a few sets that we ran that looked good to me and I hadn't seen them before.

Luke nearly cost us this game by playing Rondo for literally 18 minutes straight int he 2nd half. You CANNOT have him out there for THAT LONG...you could tell Rondo was tired and couldn't keep up with Rose (which is what allowed him to go off in the 2nd half). We needed to have Hart or Lonzo in there instead of Rondo and thaknfully, Luke inserted Hart in for that last possession.

We need to have Lonzo out there for a bit in the 4th...can't have him sitting on the bench when he's clearly been our best option defensively at Point Guard.

I still don't understand why Zo being benched pretty much the entire 2nd half. It's not like Rondo is giving us anything that Zo can't. I just can't stand Luke.

It's been leaked that Lonzo said, "Yo Mama" to him early in the 2nd half. Now not sure if entirely true.

    Cause of this...

Now I'm not targeting you, but I just don't understand why fans are having such a hard time with this.

Zo has yet to find his voice... And till he does, 'Do is that verbal leader at the point.

TC pretty much confirmed how Rondo was talking to him the whole game in his post game presser.

'Do couldn't hit a shot, but it's not like Zo was lighting it up either. 'Do was a +10 (2nd to only Hart's +11) and was running a great floor game.

Luke's on a clock and Magic has made that obvious...so the "Puke" crowd can rest assured that Luke needs to produce now. Imho Luke deserves blame for some things, but not playing Zo last night isn't one of them.

But not playing Zo (or Hart) down the stretch ALMOST cost us the game. Playing 'Do for 18 minutes STRAIGHT is ridiculous. he looked GASSED out there...just bad coaching imo and we were lucky to escape with a W yesterday. Luke has to manage the minutes better...playing ANYBODY for 18 minutes straight is bad coaching ESPECIALLY when that player is getting lit up by Derrrick Rose (granted Rose doesn't SUCK...but he has never hit 7 threes in a game!). I'm not evne gonna say that Luke should have played Zo more...im going to say he shouldn't have played Rondo AS MUCH as he did!

Zo sat at the 4:37 mark in the 3rd. So more like 16.5 minutes.

Also if DRose is forking up 3s, guess what... That's the shot you want him to take. You tip your hat to him that he was cooking.

Luke strategically took a time out after a commercial mandated timeout to give even more rest to BronDo in the 4th.

The game was 112-110 with about 10s to go and us on defense and Luke subbed out 'Do for Hart to finish the game.

I don't get the angst about last night's game. The Twolves needed a franchise record for 3s made to stay in the game last night. If we're playing the what-if game to state how lucky we were to come out with a W last night, then what-if they don't shoot 50% from 3? Twolves were lucky to even make a game out of it, no?

Nothing to see here folks.... Let's keep it movin...

Gotta love it when the team gets a win in a hard fought back and forth game, and people are complaining. Why not save it for the future losses that will surely come?

If you follow that thread, Pete and A Kam brother discuss the lineup we",3 discussed here.

Zo, Hart, Ingram, Lebron and McGee with Kuz off the bench.

Derrick Rose went off and we could have done better defensively. But some of those 3s towards the end of the game were well contested. One was on Chandler as well. I'm not sure how much better Ball would have done. Rose hit one on him too when he got lost on the weakside as well in the 3rd quarter.

If we had lost because Rose hit 10 3s, I wouldn't have been mad. Just tip your hat to him and move on.

well considering the fact that they ALLOWED Minn to get hot with wide open shots, that part we should be mad at.

Thank you! You can criticize Luke, but some of the complaints are just straight hate and unwarranted.

I applaud you bro for calling it like it is and then when you do criticize Luke, you back it up with quality post content. Salute!
    Keep posting strong...

Anyways, Brad Stevens is doing a helluva job having his team limit the machine that is Phoenix to 55 points at the half while putting up 35 against their vaunted defense...and all this while handling the Rozier situation brilliantly. That's great coaching right there.

Yeah I know...sounds premature, ridiculous and full of hate, don't it?

Its been 11 games into the season and we just added yet another new face with a roster that had an overhaul of 8, 7 games worth of suspensions to core rotation players and minutes restrictions/DNPs to 3 other players. Not to mention, we gotta be mindful of not running Bron into the ground.

I know we need to drive discussion here but after every game its he should started or that dude shoulda never got time, rinse, recycle, repeat. Luke gets a pass from me as he tries to figure out a stable rotation, but when other members bring up (imho) valid critiques of the dude and they back it up with content instead of the same tired diatribe, then even Luke sympathizers have to agree with the premise of it. Meanwhile, the "Puke" contingent needs to recognize that there are factors at play that aren't entirely favorable to Luke or even in his control.

We should allot him at least this season to prove his worth and to observe if he can handle all the adversity that's been flung his way. We can't make premature decisions on the matter till we have enough of a sample size / observation window.

We are cheering for the same team after all, aren't we?

In all seriousness, I watched the game and my gut was telling me we executed fairly well down the stretch, at least compared to previous games this season. Sure we could have done better defensively in many instances, but there was nothing too egregious at the end.

Of course before saying anything I went back and watched all of Derrick Rose's points in the late 3rd and 4th quarter. The worst (relative) lapse I saw was actually committed by Lonzo when he gets caught ball watching on the weakside (GIF Below) and Chandler when he fouled Derrick Rose on the game winning 3 (lucky no call for us).

Could Rondo have played Rose tighter on defense? Yes. But that risks him giving an open lane to Rose. I attribute this mistake to Rondo and Chandler not being on the same page defensively, and perhaps Rondo wasn't sure how best to funnel Rose to Chandler, so he plays it "safe" and takes away the drive (consequently giving up the jumper). In fact, we saw Rose exploit this miscommunication a few times in the game. The reports that Rondo and Chandler were talking all game reinforces this in my mind.

Let's give Chandler at least a few practices to understand everything, before we toss Rondo into the fire for his defense last night. Lot more going on than what we initially saw.
