Seemingly fixed his FT shooting overnight, hope that bleeds into his outside shots too.

Yeah don't want BI on Cookie's **** list too anymore. She's got enough to deal with and has been getting noticeably more tense as of late.

There hasn't been much to be happy about. And Miss Cookie hasn't been able to do her thang providing other team's doom. It has to hurt. deep down like.

On a more serious note...I never expected to win last night but we need to win games like Denver, Clippers etc. If we can’t do that we are in for a very long season and hardly any doom...except in our own game thread.

Apologies go out to Magic and Brandon for doubting the 20 ppg prediction.

well, he's at 16ppg (and 12.8 PER), so i'm not sure i'd be feasting on crow just yet. plus, if him getting to 20ppg means us losing at this rate, the question remains: was this goal a good idea?

What is a good idea is that this team is desperate for a closer for important possessions. Ingram and Kuzma seem to be best suited to grow into that role.

Lonzo certainly isn't. And everybody else seems to be up for grabs, so I would say it is a good idea to give this team an identity and a go-to guy.

I'd personally say the aweful record is a combination of many things but Ingram has been mostly efficient and at least ok.

i was drawing a connection between his uptick in scoring and our losing streak, which may not be causally related, but also could be (in that a style of play that yields 20 points for him is a losing style of play).

clarkson and randle are probably better suited to being crunch time usage guys at this point than are kuz and ingram. i don't think that will ever be lonzo, but i'm also not sure that was ever suggested as a strong point for him.

Ingram might be up there with Clarkson and Randle, but not consistently yet. Kuz is still a better off the ball scorer than a creator.

I have to disagree on Clarkson and Randle...They are CLEARLY not part of our future cornerstone, so there is little incentive to use them and not develop those, who are going to be trusted in the future with the torch.

Do I think Clarkson makes sense? considering he is a veteran at this point, yes. But we gain nothing from that longterm.

Regardless of our record, if we have a 20 yr old averaging 20 ppg efficiently, that can't be a bad thing.

Throttling down a player's scoring is a better problem to have than worrying about a player not talented enough to score.

What a shot. If he wasn’t our closer already, he is now.

He’s getting more and more comfortable with that jumper.

Look out. There goes that kid.

Great game, minus he free throw shooting.

Took the big shot, nailed it, and didn't even blink about it. The kid is a star.

Hell of a finish and great shot by Brandon.

He is a future superstar. Period.

You can see his confidence growing. He wants the ball in his hands. Continuing to progress as a playmaker.

He is untouchable. Period. Not even worth discussing. He is our future.

That shot was clutch. Didn’t score too much in that fourth quarter but didn’t stop him from hitting the biggest shot of the game. Love it.
