"While Ingram hasn’t replicated Kuzma’s move of dining with Kobe Bryant, he has established a productive rapport with the Lakers legend."

“No dinner, but we’ve connected on the phone a couple of times, where I’ve asked him about film,” Ingram said. “I called him before the OKC game last year (on Feb. 24), and that’s when the change of Magic and all the little stuff with (former general manager) Mitch Kupchak happened.

I wanted to know about (Thunder point guard) Russell Westbrook, wanted to know how (Bryant) watched film and how I could affect the game. The first thing he said to me was defense. He didn’t even say anything about offense. He said defense, and Magic had told me the day before about how I could use my length to get to the basket, so I just put those two together. And I think after that OKC game, it changed my whole season around last year.”

OK I take back the frustration I've been vocal about with regard to him not getting with Kobe yet when it was written or rumored as supposed to happen. If he is in Kobe's inner basketball circle enough to be talking with him on the phone that is freaking awesome. The relationship will only get better and provide increasing value to BI as he matures in the league. Kobe has to love the kid's work ethic. Wow both Kuzma and Ingram both being mentally tutored by the Black Mamba ..... perfect.

I really believe he will be a superstar for us. Regardless of what 2 stars come here, I think we will look back at Ingram as the guy who not only started it all but the player that puts us over the top when he develops.

He has shocked me with how well he's played this year. Didn't expect 16ppg until Year 3 tbh...and didn't expect him to be 2nd in the league on drives to the paint while scoring only behind LEBRON.

    BEAST.

The offense needs to start going through BI. Lonzo can initiate the offense and/or move the ball up for transition, but it's clear our go to guy is Ingram.

He's starting to slowly get calls he never used to, and he's becoming a lot more confident in his J, which seems pretty evident in his FT's too.

Yep. We need to start running a lot more down screens and pinch post plays for Ingram. Let him also operate on the block with shooters and cutters. He is smart enough to make the right play.

All he needed to do which I have always felt confident in as happening fairly soon is hit a reasonable % of his Js each game and FTs and Magic won't sound so crazy with the 20 points per game goal he was giving BI.
