New Balance meeting is this week. I'll be around more and let you guys know if anything comes up. Remember though this is more of a discussion on the terms of the internship. Nobody from Kawhi's camp or the Lakers will be attending.

Honestly, my BS meter isn't going off that much on Mr. Rambis because he's passing on information from a business side. He's not saying anything really that crazy. He's not pulling a Mr. Untouchable (twitter dude) saying he "spent the day with Kawhi's family in the Inland Empire." He's talking about Kawhi strictly from the New Balance perspective. The stuff about Magic and his ouster? Most of it is things we've heard from various corners of the web any way. He could just be piecing it all together, and regurgitating it in a cohesive manner, or he could be legit. But there is no way for us to know really as he isn't dropping any guarantees. He's either legit and just passing along the tidbits he knows, or he's a very savvy, but ultimately rather harmless troll. Either way, it's interesting.

these are my feelings. if mr. rambis isn't real, i haven't really lost much. it's not like his statements made me think kawhi's coming, and i will suffer a complete mental breakdown when he doesn't. if it's a troll attempt, it's pretty nuanced and requires a fair amount of effort--an artful troll.

plus, i have fun operating on the assumption that it's not.

I have no problem with what Mr. Rambis is saying either. And honestly I don't think anyone has a clue what Kawhi is going to do this summer - maybe even including himself. There's too much that's up in the air right now.

I can see it going either way. I can see Leonard completing what he said he wanted to begin with, a restart in LA. But at what cost? I don't think he can properly weigh his options until he sees what happens this post-season.

The fact that he delivered the biggest moment in Raptors history might give him that feeling that he should stay there and keep on doing just that. But probably a LOT depends on if the Raptors can make it to the Finals. If they can, I just don't see him leaving that situation. In fact, I think every single Raptors win from here on out hurts our chances greatly to get him.

So I'm rooting for the Bucks to take them out as quickly as possible. That might be tough though the way Kawhi is playing. He's been spectacular.

i'm not sure what happens in toronto will ultimately matter. kawhi's won a ring. he's a proven superstar. he's showing the world and himself that he can still carry a team to the conference finals as the main guy. i don't think making or missing that shot last night affected the next step in his career. it DID make it even harder for toronto fans if he walks, but again, that's not his concern.

a thought exercise: if the raptors somehow won it all, would you think kawhi would stay or leave? i'm guessing you're having trouble answering (as i am), which sort of makes my point.

This makes my point as well. Nobody knows what Kawhi is thinking in terms of staying or leaving. Maybe not even himself. I'd say the chances are just as likely that he wants to see what happens as not in order to decide. Ultimately though no one has a clue.

Agreed on the harmless point but the Rob DeMartini/NewBalance blunder was interesting unless Rob still works in an advisory capacity, however he seems to have moved on completely and cut ties with NB. Anyways that's a bit of a crossover ankle breaker but this one:

"and I have been in meetings where Pelinka has made some questionable comments about Aaron, to put it one way."

    Mmmkay.
