Of course it would. Cash is king in that situation.

Why do you assume that everyone or the wast majority is forced into it?

A couple of jokes from other vets at this point. maybe an Amish rookie would have issues with it.
I am just voicing my opinion regardless how many people happen to disagree. it's my genuine opinion, not a schtick.

I'm seriously going to say that having that much on you is a stupid mistake and unnecessary.

Why is this being defended? There is nothing smart or even necessary about what Randolph did. Weed related crimes are indeed something that need to be adjusted and changed, but being caught in public with an amount of weed equitable under the law to being a seller? Why in the world would anyone do that? Why in the world would a multi-million dollar athlete do it? It's indefensibly stupid.

Well, and I'm sure you don't care, your opinion sucks donkey balls.

For the record, white supremacists also have opinions. Doesn't make them absolved from ridicule or reciprocation.

I'm going to venture a guess here. You won't last long.

I don't think anyone should be immune to ridicule period. There are way more people who would make prostitution legal than white supremacists who are so few they don't even show up in the polls. There are entire countries with strong democratic traditions that made prostitution legal. My position is not in the same fringe category as white supremacy. If i don't last long it happens, the world is full of msg boards. I appreciate my time here.

We started arguing is he a good locker room presence for rooks despite that? Not if what he did was stupid or not. Also we argued if this should be some sort of permanent black mark on his character that defines him.

Why would he not have a friend buy for him from a dispensary and bring it to him?

Why would you buy illegally in Watts when you could buy weed legally in LA?

This just seems like bad decision making from top to bottom

    why would you assume not?

ok, it doesn't make sense then. who cares if the rookie has a problem with it? the whole point of the argument is that 19 year olds don't know with what to have a problem!

uh, you're reframing the argument regarding his personal character. the question is: is this good veteran leadership? the answer is, unequivocally, no.

does it mean he's a bad guy? no. in fact, some of the other stories about his time in portland that don't involve illegal activity suggest that more strongly than having a bunch of weed on you. what the latter does is cement the stupidity assessment, which you've already conceded. so, if you have young players, do you want a stupid bastard showing them the ropes. i think the lakers saw what happens there when they let nick young be the elder statesman in their locker room.

He is a stupid person /=/ He did something stupid. You seriously comparing him to Nick Young. He was the class clown. Z-Bo is not.

I actually don't care, but when you start defending something so hard, there seems to be a vested interest. Just an observation.

If the majority of them weren't trafficked sex workers or or pimped out, ok. But they are. Get your rocks off at the Bunny Ranch. I'll have no objection.

Everything is defended hard on the Internet even the most silly stuff. That's just the way it is.

Why would the was majority of them be pimped and trafficked?

Brothels are pretty much an almost dead thing last time i read about them.

Have you watched the countless documentaries of girls around the world kidnapped and sent in the sex slave? Or the young girl you meets an older guy, and treats her like a princess until and in a few weeks she's working on backpage, turning 5 tricks a day and getting beat up if she says the wrong thing to him? How about drug addicts who as soon as they finish the jobs with you go straight to their dealers?

What fantasy world do you live?

The question is not does it happen or not, the question is how much does it happen. You can make countless documentaries about people getting their id's taken and becoming modern day slaves also.

Yeah, I'm sure those docs are feel bad docs. Like the homeless children in eastern Europe who would buy blue to huff than buy food. How about some stats?
    • Human trafficking has surpassed the illegal sale of arms
    • Trafficking will surpass the illegal sale of drugs in the next few years
    • Drugs are used once and they are gone. Victims of child trafficking can be used and abused over and over
    • A $32 billion-a-year industry, human trafficking is on the rise and is in all 50 states (U.S. Government)
    • 4.5 Million of trafficked persons are sexually exploited
    • Up to 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year
    • From 14,500 - 17,500 of those victims are trafficked into the United States each year
    source http://arkofhopeforchildren.org/child-trafficking/child-trafficking-statistics

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4539590/

The median age of the sample was 34 years. In addition, 44.6% of subjects were defensopiate users, and 55.4% were users of opiates and methamphetamine. Sex work was the main source of income for almost half of the samp

    https://www.dosomething.org/us/facts/11-facts-about-human-trafficking

The average age a teen enters the sex trade in the U.S. is 12 to 14-year-old. Many victims are runaway girls who were sexually abused as children.

Will personal, or "anecdotal" stories every woman I've met with who sells her body does so to support her habit. And they aren't all covered in track mark or grunchy looking. Many of them could pass for the average attractive girl.

So you want to to patronize the 300k women a year who are forced to have sex? And the runaways and struggling drug addicts? Be my guest. But stop trying to justify this, because whether you're ignorant to the plight, willfully or not, your continued defense on the subject is insulting.

I don't an F. My drugs days are in the past, but I still have no room to judge a somewhat harmless plant that someone want to put in their body.
