We shriveled - no denying that, maybe we lose this game without the atrocious officiating - but I can’t get over that DLo foul overturned. For the first time ever, I’m seriously considering tuning out of the NBA. I’m not suggesting that play cost us the game, but for the NBA to blatantly telegraph that they are influencing outcomes like that is astounding. And to say “the hit to the face was marginal?” I hadn’t realized any amount of hitting the face was allowed when a guy is attempting a shot.

I’m approaching 40, on the East coast, with a 4 month old at home. I can’t be investing time and energy into a league that doesn’t take officiating seriously and plays us all for fools.

I also said at halftime DLo would make 1-2 more threes, and we’d go away from AD. I think when you watch the NBA for 30+ years you start to see patterns, the same storylines play out, you can just sense when a team has it and when they don’t, it becomes pretty predictable, the refs can be as well. I too am not going to pay to watch this team next season if Ham is brought back and we foolishly trade depth for Trae Young and think 40 year old LeBron can keep doing this. It’s rebuild time.

Worthy is spot on. Coach has to step in especially since we have seen over and over again that the team doesn’t know what to do down the stretch of these games.

A coach would step in. Ham is even more clueless than these guys.

part of winning games in any sport is having luck on your side and getting all the bounces to go your way

for anyone who claims the NBA is trying to do whatever they can to get the lakers to win games: don't you think they would've done all they could to make sure the lakers didn't have to face denver in the first round?

arguing with conspiracy theorists is pointless. you don't get to that point by employing logic.

tell me which calls in this series have been in our favor. which in denver's? count them.

all i know is murray got a touch foul for FTAs to tie the game and lebron claims he was fouled on a converted layup (i believe him, of course) down the stretch in a game decided at the buzzer.

not to mention the dlo overturn, which is somehow two of the worst calls ever on one play. if the nba wanted the lakers to beat the nuggets, all they'd have had to do is not f*** up the correct calls, tbh.

    Pathetic.
(Sorry mods, I’m more annoyed than I thought I’d be - lol)

Malone calls us a bunch of b&$@ches pretty much every time someone sticks a mic in his face and our guys pretty much prove him right every time we play.

DLO did not score a single point. (I think that’s what’s really driving me nuts. How do you not score in a critical playoff game).

Rui remained awful. Bench is trash.

    Yeah. Blow it up.

yeah, both were really demoralizing every time. the gordon stuff because it was about effort, and the mpj stuff was mostly because it put our secondary players' performance in sharp relief.

Who sees the "real" Lakers stepping up and winning one, finally, against DEN before going back to 5,280 feet and closing out the season, this team, etc?

Personally, I don't see it. As a matter of fact, I see us finally getting blown out by DEN.

And it's like a marriage: first, the engagement ring, then the wedding ring, and finally - where we're about to be - the suffering.

Oh yeah. I think we are toast. I didn’t see a lot of fight left in our guys after game 3. I’d like to avoid a sweep but I think it’s coming.
