Saw a breakdown of the roster and it was interesting. The past three drafts we've managed to draft up a 7 man rotation. The free agents we signed this off season fill out a starting 5. So pit them against each other. Clearly Lebron will just trump the kids and it's not really fair but it's just interesting and fun to imagine. It is the offseason after all and I didn't really know in what thread to put this. Lonzo Ball Josh Hart Brandon Ingram Kyle Kuzma Ivica Zubac vs Rajon Rondo Kentavious Caldwell Pope Lance Stephenson Lebron James Javale McGee
Pretty interesting for sure, but I think the experience of the vets would take this one. No one on the young team will be able to guard Lebron, and Rondo's playmaking would take apart the defense. Factor in the grittiness of Rondo, Stephenson, and even KCP on defense, with McGee patrolling the paint.
The second team by 20+ basically every night. That being said, the youngsters are going to have a LOT of growing to do. It's going to be a fun and special season. This is a dream come true for Laker fans.
Vets have Lebron so of course they are going to win. But if you take our Lebron off that team our young guys definitely come away victories more times than not.
Yeah LBJ will win obviously. Whats more interesting to me is who will win the starting positions. #1 I have to go with Rondo until I see consistent good scoring from Ball but it doesn't have to be that great as Rondo isn't much of one either. This slot is close. #2 I give it to KCP because he's buddies with LBJ and good but I think we saw Hart surpassing him last year, in his rookie season. Hart is damn near a phenom in that regard and KCP better not get an injury because that position will be permanently lost. #3 Ingram no question. #4 LBJ #5 who cares at this point. We could see LBJ sometimes playing 5 with Kuz @ the 4 that gives Lebron 3 shooters (not counting himself) @ the 2,3, & 4.
