We all know what plan A is: Plan A1: superteam of Kawhi (trading some of the young core), LeBron and George. Plan A2: LeBron and George and magically retaining Julius. ... Plan A fails, LeBron stays with the Cavs, or joins another team like the Rockets or 76ers. Also Paul George keeps the bromance going with Westbrook. Pop and Kawhi make amends... Now what's plan B? Do we continue to just build around the core with complementary pieces or do we go after boogie, etc???
A. Bron, PG13, wait a year for Kawhi B. Bron, PG13, trade young players for a vet PG and scrap Kawhi plans. C. Schedule parade.
Keep drafting and developing high quality character guys. The Lakers are on to something here with how they pick players. Happens too often to be just luck. Build a long term super team with what we have. Big ego fools can play somewhere else. I like our guys and system.
Plan B has become George for me now. My plan A is LAbron and Chris Paul, people hate the sound of that but my gut says those two give you the best chance at a chip if we're talking next year only. Plan C is LAbron and boogie.
As long and Jeanie Buss and her Tobey Maguire videos and #stay posters are on the other side of the globe when they bring in Lebron and Paul George, there wont need to be a Plan B. Let Magic be Magic and let Rob Pelinka bless everyone in the room and let's start winning titles. I didnt need to know Rob Pelinka was a stud the last year and change. Kobe likes Rob and Kobe doesnt like anyone. That must mean something.
1. Resign IT to one year deal; 2. Resign KCP to 1yr deal; 3. Enjoy the development of the team and tell rabid Lakers fans to calm the f*** down for one more year and appreciate what is being built.
For suggesting Chris Paul as plan A, plan B, plan C, or even plan D-Z, Billy Madison’s name has just been crossed off the list and yours moved up one slot.
trade deng for melo. sign randle to a deal that shrinks every year instead of grows (or use cap to give signing bonus that keeps annual salary down) offer one-year to brook see where space is after that. also, fire the front office.
We have different opinions on what Plan A is for us, but to answer your question and if we miss out of LBJ and PG while also not trading for Kawhi than we'll resign Randle while doing what we did last year with bringing guys in on 1 year deals. I think we should still win more games than last year as long as we're healthy.
You may have been joking, but if not there is very foolish and unwise. They've said all along this cap space is for this year OR next year. We all prefer and want it to happen this year but to simply fire an entire Front Office with not even 2 full years of sculpting the team is ludicrous.
