Pretty cool in my opinion. I don't listen to their shows often (I prefer music when I'm driving) but something about watching radio shows on TV is always more engaging. I won't watch it all the time, but I'm often stuck at home with nothing to watch, so having the option to occasionally tune into a 5 hour block of TV programming that largely focuses on Lakers discussion is going to be nice.
TWCSN desperately needs programming, so yes, I agree this is a good move. I'm surprised it took this long in the first place.
ok now we're talking...i listen to these guys everyday today Mason and Ireland were complaining about the Dodgers going all cheap
I've been complaining for months. They're bastards right now as far as I'm concerned. I haven't purchased a ticket this season and I'm not changing my provider. I have however been watching their games illegally to stick it to them.
one of the minority owners hinted at them slashing payroll from $300mil to around the league average of about $180mil then Ireland was like 'wth, we're supposed to be Yankees West and now this?!?!?'
That's been their MO all along. They can in pretending to waive a big long stick, but instead they're trying to be the Braves in a big market. They want it to be 100% farm system and no outside spending so we save cash. They were supposed to be the best of both worlds. I'm livid. They have all the resources to make a perennial contender and instead we're wasting along and we might have wasted Kershaw's best years in the process. All that money to waste.
yup remember when the Lakers wanted to use Kobe's prime to just sell tickets until he demanded to be traded because they were just effing around poor Clayton
It makes me so effing ANGRY! And on top of that they still can't broadcast their f***ing channel to the fans?? The same f***ing fans they're asking to pay higher ticket prices for a product that's less than it should be??? EFF THIS GUYS!
I don't really enjoy either of these shows and only tune in when a good interview is scheduled or there is some big Lakers news to talk about. I'll stick to my show, The Dan Patrick Show, which is so much better
I find Trudell to be awful on the radio. He comes off as argumentative, unfunny and a know it all. They need to get rid of him
See out of the 4 guys, I find Trudell or Mason to be the best ones. Michael is a homer and Ireland, well..... I have never been a big fan of the way he goes about talking about things. His style of conversation if you will. I feel he often talks about things just to try and fill up time on the show with no real content or substance. However, his call of Kobe's last game was great. Only time I could stomach hearing him on the radio calling Lakers games or his radio show with Mason.
I only listen to their radio show because I'm driving and it's better than hearing the same song 5 times on the music stations. But I do not like these 4 guys much. Mychal is a homer stuck in the old times. Trudell starts Mychal on long tangents that turn their shows into 10% actual sports. Ireland is the team's mouthpiece and sometimes have the dumbest ideas. Mason is okay because he usually goes the opposite direction to the rest of the group but he's at the bottom of their totem pole. Probably won't be tuning in regardless. I have shows on Netflix I need to marathon through.
If i ever consume the radio shows its via podcast or flipping on the radio while I'm driving. I just moved back to the Philippines for the school year so I won't be doing the latter anytime soon, lol Honestly I'm just surprised the ESPN is allowing their "content" to be on another television station
3 of the 4 guys on the shows are employees of the Lakers so it's probably in the Lakers best interest to push their mouthpieces to an even larger audience
More importantly though TWC was likely running out of material for their channel. The reality is they should have combined the Dodgers and Lakers but they got greedy.
