If I'm being honest, I care very little about college ball or the minor leagues. I only have time to watch the Laker's games at most, and only follow one professional sport. NBA basketball. I don't really care about the name or logo, but I'm surprised they are called the South Bay Lakers. '

I guess I see the rationale behind it for the purpose of name recognition and marketing leverage, but in the end, it's the minor leagues. I'll just appreciate the David Nwaba's of the world once they arrive on the big stage. Anything else is limited to the occasional highlight clips to formulate controversial opinions like trading down to take Dragan Bender and other assets.

Already formulating plans for the next draft lol

The South Bay thing was announced a while back. It's whatever to me. I assume they're just canvasing as much of the city as they can. I've considered going to D-Fenders games. They're supposed to be cheap and there's a half-way chance of seeing someone important from the Lakers past (AC Green is their color commentator). Heck Pelinka or Magic might even stop by if you're lucky. Or one of the actual Lakers could be practicing in the facility.

Might be worth it with home games this year just to see at least part of their brand new best in class facility. Wonder if any tours will be available.
