Agreed. I get why they want to do it, and it will be sweet if they bring home the Gold But I’m a Laker fan first and foremost. It seems apparent to me that AR has gone through stretches where he struggled due to fatigue and not having his legs under him. And he’s a young ironman type of player. So I would have preferred if Lebron and AD opted out of all that wear and tear
This USA team is ridiculously stacked though. I mean KD, Curry, Kawhi (we will see if he actually plays in the first place), Embiid are playing so no star is immune to this "fatigue". They should be smoking teams with this "dream team" squad so I doubt anyone is going to play a crazy amount of minutes. There's only like what? 2-3 teams that could give them a run? Canada, Serbia, France?
Leonard (knee) recently received an injection to aid in his recovery, and there is "cautious optimism" that he'll be ready for Sunday's Game 1 against Dallas, Yea ,Paris is waiting for his medicine to get there before Olympics
i just remembered lebron was on that failed 04 team (although he didn't play much.) his longevity never ceases to amaze
It's fun when we Team USA is a bunch of up and coming guys, but I like that the old heads wanted to do this and are going to be playing together. LeBron, Steph and KD (and to a lesser extent Kawhi) are the defining players of the last 15 years. It's starting to look doubtful we'll ever see Steph in the Finals again. KD has had a really weird career and I doubt we see him in the Finals again. I'm going to foolishly pick us to win it all in my playoff pick em, but odds are we won't get to see LeBron in the Finals again. It'll be fun seeing those guys play together and reminiscing.
