Awesome, I loved this thread! It used to be a tradition for us, but then... well... we stopped making the playoffs.

 

Before we start posting photos, I'd just like to say this is a thread for making predictions as well.

For our matchup with the Blazers, I'll say right away there's no way we sweep them. Lillard will get scorching hot sooner or later and in one of those games it will be enough to carry them to victory.

I'd love to say Lakers in 5, which is what most people on general NBA forums are predicting... but I am going to play it safe and say Lakers in 6. They could push us to 7 if we're still completely rusty and the coach is still playing with rotations, but I don't think that's going to be the case. I think Lakers and Bucks are much better than what we've seen in the bubble and the struggles for both teams were a combination of playing possum, not wanting to show what they've got too early, and the plain ol' rust.

So, yeah - Lakers in 6, good wake-up call before it gets super serious. In a way, it's good to play against hot offensive team that plays incredibly porous defense right away, because our defense was generally very good (when we actually tried, we locked people up) but the offense - especially outside shooting - needed work. At least against Portland we'll get all the shots we want. If we could contain McCollum (or if his back starts acting up), Lillard alone can't win the series, only a couple of games.

Yeah. With no actual home court advantage 6 seems like a safe number. Ordinarily game 6 would be in Portland so I might push it to 7, but since it's all neutral, I think it's 6.
