I'd honestly rather just save that exception and see if anyone becomes available as the season goes on.
I don't think we even have a roster spot? I wouldn't use the room exception on him but I'd absolutely throw him a minimum deal to come into training camp and earn a spot. I remember bringing him up in the Free Agent thread and apparently some of you had been paying closer attention to the T'wolves than I and there was an overwhelming response that he's kinda trash. But I don't care. The hype when he came to UCLA was insane. There's gotta be something there. His numbers in Minnesota don't look that bad either.
We really dont have a servicable backup wing, brewer is all energy very little skill amd denchorg is just that, dead weight
If sirron were to do the opposite with Paul ..... like .... I dunno .... poo gif or 2 about his boy LBJ sent to Rich and couple national sites .... would that keep the King from coming here?
Love it, right on the tail of the PG fine. We are so obvious is actually quite funny. Magic, can I get you to wear a #23 jersey for a tv interview discussing the deal with an eye wink here? Even better, wear this shirt
He's not very good and we don't have much room. On the other hand, if he's Rich Paul client then give that man some money.
I actually like Shabazz as a young, energy rotation player off the bench. However I don't even think there's playing time and more importantly, roster space available for him unless the Lakers stretch Deng before the start of the season. I think a realistic rotation and how many minutes each of our existing players play would be very similar to this: Ball(32)/Clarkson(16)/Ennis KCP(32)/Clarkson(16)/Hart Ingram(32)/Kuzma(16)/Deng/Brewer Randle(30)/Nance(15)/Kuzma(3) Lopez(32)/Zubac(12)/Nance(4)/Bryant Based on that scenerio, Deng/Brewer won't even have any minutes if Kuzma continues to win minutes during training camp. If we sign Shabazz, Clarkson/Kuzma will lose minutes. I'm not sure I do that because I'd stunt Kuzma's playing time because I love his game.
Oh god please no. Lakers have had enough of those the last 4 years to fill a planet. Lakers do not need anymore.
All I know about Shabazz is that he's more athletic than people give him credit for and he's underated in the post game. Can't really shoot it consistently and I can't say much about his defense (good or bad).
