    Saw this on Twitter:
Word is Johnson to the bench for Young

I've got to head out for a few hours, so I can't stick around and hear reactions, but I'll begin: this is the wrong move. Or at least it feels like it.

Boozer to the bench, for the love of God.

yeah, way to simultaneously reduce the effectiveness of two players.

ed davis to starting pf, plz. maybe Ronnie price to starting pg, so that lin can have the ball in his hands more.

And two-for-two in agreeing with you so far today. I'm alright with moving Price to the starting lineup, not because it'll help the starting offense but because I think it could help Lin and the bench produce better.

If you move Young to the starting lineup, don't you move Lin to the bench so we have a point producer coming off the bench? And Davis for Boozer... that's just obvious at this point.

    Price starting.....

Great, another guy the defense doesn't have to guard when Kobe inevitably controls the rock.

If I'm the Pelicans, I'm not guarding Price like Rondo.

The little tweet sidebar thing just showed Trudell confirming that the roster moves would be Davis and price for Lin and Boozer. Perfect choice, Byron!

I'm not in favor of Price starting, but at least Davis is the right move at this point. I'm willing to see how it goes, but I think Doc is right about another guy people don't have to guard.

I think Davis deserves the starting position. Boozer hamstrings our defense and handicaps a limited team at the start of every game. I am fine with the Price Lin swap. Though Price cannot p.g that well and may be crowded and forced to shoot bad shots, I feel we need to take a risk that Kobe can play -make (like he is 60% of the time anyway). If it doesn't work we can change Lin back in. Since we are playing Price I don't feel we lose anything by giving Clarkson more time. Lord knows we have enough garbage time in games. Lin is a bench player in starter clothes at the moment, let him earn his way back to the tip off. This is not a grit debate, but let's see a real game time scenario of how this works.

I like that Davis is starting. That should have been the move starting game 2, but I don't like that Price is starting. He is a pretty good defender, but these moves just screams, "Kobe, please do everything on offense!".

    Price
    Kobe
    Wesley
    Davis
    Hill

Seriously...nobody can create on that lineup except for Kobe. I hope the defense can make up for the lack of offense, but I still see a subpar defensive team.

Young is a bench guy. A terrific 6th man type of player if I might add. He does not play as well as a starter. Doing this would most likely diminish both his and Wes's production. Not that Wes produces a lot though... 8/1/3 is nothing write home about.

    Also, Ed should start.

Happy with the Davis starting in place of boozer, really who isn't? Not so sure about Price though, our defense will be better but it makes doubling kobe so much easier. Lin running with the bench works though.

Yeah, it should be noted that it's Lin/Boozer out for Price/Davis. Much better.

This lineup is going to have spacing issues. Price can't shoot, Wes is inconsistent at best, Davis can't shoot outside of 5 feet, and Hill's jump shot good at times, is it really automatic at this point? It better be because teams will pack the paint and dare us to shoot from the outside. Wow. This is where losing Randle and Kelly really hurt. The diversity you have with both and their skillset makes these changes even more hard to swallow when you think of just the change of pace they bring with Randle's ball handling ability, back to the basket game and Kelly's ability to space the floor...

As for Price, I knew that was coming. He's a 3rd string point guard on most teams, and he's starting for us. Good grief...

Solution? Bench Wes as well and start Ellington next to kobe either at sf or sg.

I was hoping for this as well. Never really thought Price would take Lin's stop, but knew the Davis for Booz was a formality.

lulz. RT @SerenaWinters: So tonight's Lakers starting lineup should be: Ronnie Price, Ed Davis, Kobe, Wes Johnson & Jordan Hill.

Pretty good tank lineup if I say so myself...

Jeremy and Booz on the bench being replaced by Ed and Price. I guess Kobe is gonna use up a lot of his energy and take most of the shots for the starters.

Yeah; Lin is our best dribble penetrator - so he goes to the pine, taking his 3pt shooting, too. :(
