Man he runs hot and cold. Just seems to lost the mojo he started the season with

How does a guy so big get basically bullied by Cade on on defense?

    Sign frustrating

Boy did he not. He was trying early. Got a block and a deflection in the paint. Then their energy and athleticism just deflated his effort balloon.

he's become a really good 3 pt shooter, but apart from that he doesn't really offer much. Maybe it's time to trade.

Rui is trick or treat. That's just who he is he looks like Kawhii understudy some games and in others like a G league callup

That being said he isn't a bad player just matchup dependent. He should be your 7 or 8th best in a title contender not your 4th. And the Lakers due the lack of depth need him to play like a 4th which he cant do consistently

dlo should be our 4th, but he's not doing it this year. he did last year (arguably our third last year, tbh). rui should be our 5th. and i think you can be ok if rui is your 6th-7th. but how do you upgrade the roster to make that happen?

you have to hit on draft picks, imo. we missed on jhs, but we may have hit on knecht. is it in time? probably not. but trading rui and dlo for a marginal upgrade on one of them (which is what most suggest in trade proposals) does not solve our issue.

Rui has become a good percentage 3 pt shooter, but he doesn't shoot a high enough volume. Right now, he only gets 3 attempts per game and 4 attempts per 36 minutes. We need our wings and guards to attempt 7-8 threes per 36 minutes. That is just modern NBA. We are last in tge league with only 30 three attempts per game.

The Lakers say Rui Hachimura (illness) is doubtful for tonight’s game in Memphis.

    He's sick and out tonight
This game is going to be f***ing small ball s***, if AD is injured too
P.S. Could be Knecht first start of the season.

Need him to have a MJ flu game. We don't have enough NBA players on our roster for anyone to sit

Hopefully that's all it is. He peaked against Phoenix, but really his October was a step forward and November is a step back.
    Oct: 16 & 7, 46% FGs, 57% 3pt FGs
    Nov: 8 & 5, 27% FGs, 39% 3pt FGs

The concerning part is the flu report didn't come out until before the Grizz game. Nearly a week after his rough start to the month. Did we announce or catch it late? Maybe.

Rui looked a lot better - feels like his hot and cold might have been more to him being sick for a stretch

Bounce back game, he was making pretty much everything, 6-7 overall, 3-4 from 3, 19 points. Loved this attack and dunk

He looked a lot more active and got going right out of the gates. Hopefully it was just the lingering flu that had him off.

Rebounds and effort both up and that's the bigger gauge for me than his points on the evening.

Both Rui and Dlo aren't winning players when it matters , we have enough evidence .

The defense and rebounding aren't there

Yeah, that's my assessment too, they're not winning players. I'm all for trading Rui, who might be our best tradable asset that is not a pick.

    rui/gabe/jhs

    for

    bruce brown/davion mitchell

toronto gets a guy who fits in ok with their young core (barnes, barrett, quickley) as a starting pf, a veteran backup pg, and get to see if they can do a reclamation on jhs.

we get a pg defender and a wing defender, each who can handle well enough. neither is a shooter, and brown is injured right now.

Yeah I really like that one and could make sense to Toronto too. We definitely have to strike a deal with Toronto, Brooklyn and/or Utah, they're all tanking for Cooper, they have space to bet in a couple of our youngsters and have guys we can use

Brown would fit amazingly with us.
