people act like that because it's what you did, darvin. first three games of the year: 14, 13, 17 minutes. he had a couple stints on the IR, but he didn't get a real shot at starting until 50 games in because you love taurean prince despite all logic or fact. i'm pretty sure ham was going to give prince the nod over vando had vando not gotten hurt, too. anyway, he's gone in about 6 weeks and we can move on. lol forgot about that gem from bane. can't believe memphis is going to be paying that guy 35 million next year. wild.
Absolute beast. Peaking at the exact right time. We need 9 more games like this from him to get out of the play-in. Keep it coming Rui
He isn't peaking at the right time. He is peaking. If our dumass pimple played him before game #50, he'd peak and be this way all season.
Oh that's facts - I'm just saying that I love what he's doing right now and he's making Pimplehead look like a complete idiot to the point where Reggie Miller was questioning why it took Ham so long to insert him into the starting lineup given our success with him last year
while vando is great on D, he really needs to get way better on O...vando not getting back in starting lineup with success that rui is having
I freaking LOVE Rui, guys. He's so damned cool. All I could possibly ask of him is that he stay down a bit more and box out and grab a few more boards. And today he delivered: 20/10/4 with a block. 8 for 12 from the field. He's been hitting 3s, but not today. 1-4. But his midrange game is sweetness. He's big, fast and smart.
It's almost as if he should have been starting and playing 30 mpg a game instead of Prince a whooooooole lot earlier. Like maybe at the beginning of the season instead of the end. But who'd a thunk it?
I wouldn’t trade him for many “stars” because it wouldn’t be for just him- HIM would also need to be included. I want to watch Austin and Rui in the Purple and Gold for their entire careers.
NO!! Because of this. And because he hasn't come close to peaking yet either. What is THAT going to look like?
Maybe. But sinking all those assets in one guy is dangerous as hell. Even if it's Mitchell. A hell of a lot of depth and skills and draft picks mortgaging the future completely. It's true you're not just trading Rui to bring back some player that's "better", and at what position taking into account his size, strength, athleticism and skills we are very fortunate to have on this roster locked up in a great value contract .... same as Reaves. Then there's attachment to young players that are really good ... guilty as charged here.
