    :In Rob We Trust:

What an outstanding offseason for Rob... hell, since last season's trade deadline he was already cooking. Those season pivoting trades, the free agent signings that upgrade the team, the re-signing of the core guys and then extending guys giving us a more clear future instead of questions every offseason... Dude should definitely get his flowers.

Only thing I have to maybe complain about is Hayes/Wood signing. Don't think Hayes is signed if we knew Wood would be available for the min.

^^^ …. and yet we let him slip to mid page 2. Damn, sorry Stud. BUMP!!

Story from Iggy on what Rob meant to his career, especially in the earlier years.

Andre Iguodala credits Rob Pelinka for having him prepared during NBA career

    https://apple.news/Ac0SFxtSsRTWJTnSWgtS7eg

If this won’t load on apple news it’s recent and originally sourced from Silver Screen & Roll.

“That was one of the strong suits, the power of Rob Pelinka. Like, he really had me believing like ‘Bro, they are lowballing you. There’s no way you can take that.’ So, I see kids now and I’m like ‘What is your agent telling you? What? Are you crazy?’ But I’m believing my agent the same way. But, I do think Rob had a sense of who he was dealing with. Like he knew the work I was putting in every summer. Like, I’m doing two-a-days in the summer, I’m watching film. I asked a million questions about Kobe every day. He knew what I was doing. So he was like ‘Bro, no bro.’ And he’s like ‘I got you a deal for this over here anyway.’ So I had a backup plan anyway.”

Tell me you're talking about Spencer Dinwiddie without telling me you're talking about Spencer Dinwiddie

Honestly, big props to Rob for not doing a trade just for the sake of it. I like everything he's saying here. The house analogy is a good one. Atlanta wasn't willing to sell. And that was the only obvious upgrade move at least in my opinion. Even then Dlo has played superbly lately and I don't mind keeping him this year either. It seems like the demands for Brown and DFS were way too high, so I'm glad we didn't go after them.

The only other move I was really hot for was a backup PG and I'm disappointed we couldn't get Schroder. Then again Gabe has a lot of money on his contract so I get that Toronto didn't want him and seems like Washington didn't want him for Jones either.

I'm glad that we didn't drop any of our vet minimum guys as well in a penny pinching move. Those guys have all shown some good play at some point this season and we need our backup bigs (and obviously Cam).

Good on Rob to look for a bargain in the buyout market. I'd be happy if we got Dinwiddie for obvious reasons. If not, maybe Lowry. If not maybe Joe Harris - different role of course but still a decent pickup.

He'll be out assistant next year. If we need a replacement mid next season, he's in.

Just read this. Interesting points made and echoes my concerns on another coaching search.

I expect us to make a change at some point with Ham but the front office hasn’t filled me with confidence that we can make a good hire and / or provide the proper support to whoever got the role.
