that simple pick and roll where lebron just slowly drove right until the second defender had to leave kieff, who then just nailed the wide open three--just exactly how it's supposed to work. patience and execution. vets.
I would have loved to see Balmer's reaction when he found out the Morris brothers share a bank account together. I think we can find an NBA championship replica ring for Balmer when we win this season. It's the least we can do.
For a smart guy, he sure made a bad business decision keeping the Clippers in So Cal. Snake bitten franchise. But they have had several great players on their team in the last 10 years. Compared to only being able to keep draft picks prior to that, I suppose you have to hang your hat on "progress"
Me thinks he will stubbornly continue on until his bad business decision becomes "good" because he's rich and big-headed. He is going to try as long as he can.
Be funny with having to pay exorbitant sum to buy the Forum just to tear it down (a-hole) and building his new monument arena for them to play in .... he continues his obsession so long doubling down on trying to win a championship .... that he fritters away most of his fortune on them. And they still never win jack. (I know not going to happen he’s too rich). But too rich people got that way because they love money and hate to lose it. At the least he can hold all the concerts in it that Azoff was going to host in the Forum. And finally raise a banner. Taylor Swift or some such.
Seattle is getting their own franchise. LA market needs two teams and he will have his own arena in the near future. "great players" on their team is a little overstated. We throw around great way too much. I'd say Chris Paul was great. Kawhi Leonard is great. Other than that, the rest are really good or just good. Clippers had their chance to make their mark while the Lakers had to recover for 9 years because of how a piece of garbage commissioner set them back. They didn't take advantage and won two meaningless division titles and choke jobs in the playoffs.
Hopefully not the beginning of any cracks in the team, we didn’t really have any stuff like this last season
In defense of Vogel's decision to take him out of the rotation, Morris was playing like a chode most of the year. He showed up tonight and performed like he did in the playoffs. I'd say it worked. However, the Lakers are 11 deep. Some guys are not gonna get enough minutes no matter how good they play.
we weren't as deep and had more injuries. also, the press consistently trying to stir up wes and kieff--"how are you dealing with not playing, loser? is it because you suck or because you're just a plain ol' loser? i mean, i respect your veteran presence--is it that nobody else does? maybe you're just finished as a pro basketball player and also have abnormally small genitalia? please elaborate."
I mean, who here expected Kieff to get decent minutes? AD Gasol Kuzma Montrezl LeBron Every single one of those guys could take minutes from Kieff and though I feel bad for Kieff in that he clearly wants to play and took less $ to come to the Lakers, I don't know what he expects at this point. He's been getting decent minutes lately so hopefully it develops into a bigger role for him but he's gotta be able to knock down shots consistently. His defense isn't exactly very good, either, so Vogel tends to sub in guys who are multi-facet. I don't see him re-signing with the Lakers next season, anyways.
Yeah the comment that Kuz is expendable to make salaries for other extensions needed work .... because Morris can do what he does (several days back) .... was way off. Kuzma negotiations were a great WIN for the organization and Rob.
