he's pretty much got to take minimum to stay, i think. will he get offers over that? probably. by how much and with whom?
if we could land Ibaka or gallo for mle, morris isn't needed....wasn't very impressive to me, he had a few nice shooting gms but his for being the better defender of the morris bro is clearly overrated, hes not very good defende to me
I would love to get him back for the minimum (or even if we somehow structure KCP's contract or AD's max to allow us to give him his early bird rights raise). I think he's got to have more value than that though. I could see some other teams going after him with the BAE at least. Also of note, the Morris brothers USED to be Klutch. I'm not sure if there is any bad blood there, but I definitely would have more hopes of us retaining Morris if he was still on Klutch.
Lakers need a SF/PF who can switch defensively and hit the 3 to play in the smallball lineup . He's important ... we will have to find his replacement at the deadline if he leaves
I get that they are twins but do they really have to do everything together? Jesus Christ, you could still be next to your brother in Los Angeles and will have a chance to defend the title with the Lakers. Since his brother just got a huge bag, he should give Markieff some money to buy a home closer to him. If the money is the same, it shouldn't be a difficult decision. These two are just weird as hell, though... Same tattoos, same hair... probably share the same boxers, too.
Damn ... I think you might be onto something. Watch Pelinka come in and leak this to the NBA so they void the Marcus Morris deal and instead both the Morris bros have to sign with us for the minimum
"It's nice to see brotherly love taken to that level, in a way." Nathan For You reference (NSFW language in the clip):
would totally happen...to the lakers only. i mean, if someone wants to give half his salary to his brother, i don't think any rules can be instituted to prevent it. btw, i don't think having both is really that useful.
would be really whack if Morris ended up on the Clippers with his brother but with us having Trez here...and still having Kuz....Morris might be looking at us like where's the PT gonna come from? Especially if we sign Gasol too...
We actually have a pretty big need at PF. Kief has a bit more bulk that Kuz to play the 4. Kief also mainly stays on the perimeter vs Trez who likes to get in the paint & muck it up & is used to playing the 5. I think the Clippers motivations is primarily to keep him away from the Lakers, TBH.
Yeah my guess is Harrell would be in the starting 5 and Gasol from the bench to limit Kuz defensive limitations as a PF when Morris leaves . Batum or homeless guy from the Heat at the 3. Not ideal
You silly goose. One gets in foul trouble they do quick undercover switch of jerseys and no one ever knows.
any update here? I really hope we're in touch with Kieff on all these moves to let him know we're trying to bring him back as well He was really key for us in the playoffs...
Hope he chooses the Lakers. He's the final piece of the puzzle. But if he wants to go to the LAC to play with his brother, so be it.
