Morris has been solid for us off the bench since he worked himself into the rotations. Vogel has trust in him (unlike Waiters) and he's delivered on both ends of the floor. Get that ring Markieff.
udleyshrug: what did you expect with no experience Rob wielding his chainsaw to our salary cap and not opting to wait 3-4 weeks to get into trades of course he should have known would happen where we could absorb other teams' trash players' salaries in order to acquire back some of all them pick assets Rob pissed away.
Man I'm sorry but those 20 or 30 pet peeves of his that kept being hammered at us every f****** day .... that we all got the first 5 times at least they were stated .... and nothing more we as fans on a message board could do about them, especially since most of us did NOT agree .... was infuriating.
Morris was the best addition for us during the season. The versatility he allowed us took the team to another level. It allowed us to go "small" with him being the center. And he could play the back up power forward which allowed Kuz to slide down to his more natural position at small forward WHICH THEN kept us from having to play KCP at the 3 at times...
Who could have predicted Markieff was by far the best Morris added on this season? Marcus took away shots from Kawhii and sucked on defense while Markieff knows his role, takes only good shots, and at least tries on defense (he's a bit slow on his rotations but at least the dude gives effort). What a great add
And we didn't give up anything for him while the Clippers gave up picks. Marcus is a better offensive player but has anger management and talks too much.
The Flippers are paying the price for basically setting up a team to beat the Laker,s but more importantly, win a PR war by preventing the Lakers from getting those same players. That is just not the way to run a team. They took Morris and Jackson to stop the Lakers from getting them. They took Kawhi (and his Paul George demands) to stop the Lakers from getting him, even if they had to give away their future to do it. Sure, we wanted all those dudes too, especially Kawhi, but in hindsight, I am especially happy we did not give away so much for them, and I am most happy we didn't get into a PR war with the Flippers because they aren't even worth our time thinking about. With all their minds on the Lakers, it is ironic that both Rick Carlisle and Mike Malone exposed them badly, and they didn't even get to playing us.
He made much needed shots but his defense leaves a lot to be desired. Its an open layup lane for Miami when Lebron and Morris are your PF and C
