    Magic is very outspoken on Twitter. Recently he's said things like "The Lakers should go after Kevin Durant!" which is the definition of tampering in NBA Free Agency.

    The Lakers have removed Magic's honorary title to make sure they can't get in trouble for tampering. Magic has no real power with the team so it really is just a formality.

    All this means is he can campaign for the Lakers even more on Twitter. He can recruit and tamper all he wants and it's all good.

    Nothing new but I completely understand the Lakers doing this. There is not really any confusion, the Lakers just wanted to make it absolutely clear to everyone that when Magic pops off on twitter the Lakers don't have anything to do with that.

    Lakers just protecting themselves.
