Yeah it certainly does not SUCK to have Luka come out guns blazing in first quarters putting up 20 points and getting us off to big leads.

That’s insane considering he’s been here for like a month and a half.

While watching that first quarter, I was thinking to myself how much his dominance reminds of Kobe. That dude is simply amazing at how he can score and pass in so many ways and the defense can’t do much about it.

Kobe looks tiny next to Luka in that photo.

Re: the video above -- He is probably going to score 75 at some point, since he already dropped 73 last year.

He really is a perfect fit here. He's a showman on the court. He hates the Suns and Clippers and lost a Finals to the C Bags.

i was saying it long before it happened--this guy is a laker. it's as if someone built a guy to be a laker in the context of laker history. dallas had him and had the chance to forge their own unique franchise story and then just...added to this one.

I remember the comment someone made here in that Dallas FOUND the needle in the haystack and then just threw it back in. Even worse than that (for Dallas) they handed it to the Lakers. Not 3-5 years from now our best hopes in a forced trade and semi gutted roster in the aftermath .... but instead right in his freaking prime for a third of the haul they should have gotten on the open market, pissed him off and opened his eyes to what he needed to do going forward and gave him the perfect role model to see how it's really done by guys that actually play 20 years in the league if he wants that kind of greatness to go on top of what he is already doing.

I will never forget being at the game and seeing Kobe take on LeBron. Naturally, I knew LeBron was bigger but actually seeing in real life was something. Kobe is not small by any means but he was definitely giving up height and weight to many guys and still taking it to them. Another testament to how good he really was.

This is my main gripe with today’s game. The ref’s don’t enforce the rules.People like to make fun of how players handles were in 60’s and 70’s but if they called the game by the book we would see the same dribbling today.I get it,entertainment value and all but it sure makes it easy to question what is going on with the league

Agreed. What Dallas did will go down as the worst trade in NBA history. I will never understand how someone can be that dumb. Well, at least they pushed me over to being a fan of an actual great franchise.
