Marcus Morris ….. “(and then you trade him to the Lakers where he’s going to learn how to take it to an even higher level and you’re going to have Luka Doncic 2.0)”

I see him as a combination of Bird and Magic. I couldn't imagine a better player than Luka for Showtime.

Magic was more fast break showtime. Luka is more Bird in the half court with the out of this world BBIQ and crazy shot making. And he’s built like a modern day Jason Kidd.

A horse shots contest between him and Curry during the next ASG would be fun

I love that Luka has instantly inherited our various rivalries and is responding on the court.

The West is in trouble, if we are at full strength by the end of April. Winning 4 out of 7, against a healthy Luka, Lebron, Austin and the rest of the gang? That is going to be a serious challenge for everybody.

Man I thought Luka was about to drop a 50 piece on Den last night. Still, I think getting up by 30 on them sent a big message. If it stayed close they could turn to say their big boys was out and they still played great like we did against them the last game.

I think (hopeful at least) the tides have changed with us vs them. Luka might be the biggest reason for that, imo.

I will take Bird and Kidd. Point is, we have scored mightily with these two and are in the position to compete for championships for years. Free agents will flock to these two. Two amazing stories as well. Lakerland is alive and well.

Yeah they definitely had a mental edge on us, but Luka has flipped that dynamic. I'll never forget that step-back 3 over Braun in the first quarter of the road game, Luka immediately screaming in his face that he can't guard him. In the first quarter of a February road game lol. I don't think the LeBron/AD version of this time was afraid of the Nuggets or anything, but they knew they had to play perfect down the stretch because Denver was just a better halfcourt execution team. Now we have Luka who can hunt their bad defenders and hit those same demoralizing jumpers at the end of the clock like Murray always did to us.

I agree. This is a good decision. No need to get injured again. This dude deserves some rest.

Who knows... maybe Rui comes back and surprises everyone? Will Austin be able to carry? Let's see what happens.
