If Calderon is bought out, who are we adding? No one Larry Sanders Anthony Brown Vander Blue Terrence Jones Omri Casspi Someone else? Some really intriguing names out there.
no pts in casspi, broken thumb, out the rest the of yr. So I guess that only leaves Sanders, should just buy out Mozgov while we're at it
Larry was arrested in LA back in June 2016 on a felony warrant. No word on whether he'll be facing an indictment. LINK I know beggars can't be choosers, but a felony arrest should give the FO some pause before signing him.
Larry Sanders is interesting but I would like to give Zubac as many mins as possible. Give a guard or wing player a shot, might need to replace Nick.
funny: Lol, you get that done and Luke will keep laying the smack down on DLO's face until Brown leaves town.
I wouldn't think we'd look to sign anyone, Brewer and Ennis will get time filled by guys traded away, and we already have guys like MWP and Robinson that don't play.
We need to sign extra guys. They contribute effort in practices so they're not useless. We need scrubs to make our rotation players feel good
I think we can afford a high risk/high reward signing like Sanders or Stephenson. Loved Sanders' game before he went overboard. I'm sure he's still capable of that level of play if that's where his head's at. Could be a huge steal and great asset.
ball boys can do that easy and for free...even random fans like you, sirron when you get back stateside
No one Pros: No more $, more PT for young bucks Cons: Miss out on an opportunity, potentially Larry Sanders Pros: Still young, would be cheap, great shot blocker Cons: hasn't been in the league in years, potentially has a felony case pending Anthony Brown Pros: Young, 3&D mold, knows teammates, subject of many LB images/gifs, averaging nearly 20 PPG on 44% 3s in D-league. Cons: He couldn't shoot in the NBA. Vander Blue Pros: Perhaps the best d-leaguer ever, history with Lakers, could backup SG Cons: Volume shooter, hasn't stuck anywhere Terrence Jones Pros: Solid defender, solid upside, already an 11/6 player Cons: Not a shooter, doesn't offer too much on offense, could take PT from young bigs. Omri Casspi Pros: Good shooter, good teammate, could spread the floor. Cons: Broken finger puts him out until April probably, no upside. Someone else? There are always some benefits here - you can try to sign a two-year deal with a TO for the second for any of these guys, but it might be especially valuable to a player late in the season or getting their first real NBA action. The possible second year is a good motivator. I think Jones is the best of the bunch, followed by either Casspi or Sanders (depending where he's at), then Brown or Blue. I actually thought Blue played well for us when we had him in here, in limited time.
Honestly, I think we should let it go. Run our kids all the time. The more time Magic, Pelinka, etc have to evaluate, the better.
