Hmmm. I kind of stopped reading to come here and scratch my head with you guys .....after "Jesse Buss has been promoted to assistant GM / Dir. of Scouting". Does that do anything really stupid in the future to make it uncomfortable at that point for the Lakers to eventually make West the GM after Mitch's run is over? If Ryan's position now is "Dir. of Player Personnel?? edit.... For now of course West is doing what he does best. I just hope since GM is such an important position in the league with perceptions of those executives, that we don't mistakenly put a Buss in there and blow it, when it should have been next generation of legacy West leadership and GM skills. Assuming that's what Ryan himself would want. How powerful maybe could they make him in another capacity?
http://lakeshowlife.com/2015/09/14/...omote-from-within-reveal-analytics-personnel/ Here's a piece I did on this reveal that goes into a little depth about the situation. I think more important than the staff themselves, is the fact that the curtain was pulled back at all. It shows a different mindset moving forward and that's something really important that I tackle a bit in the article.
