Regular season done. Playoff Mode Engaged. First mission is to Get the 7th seed and face the Suns next. One Play-in game vs. the Warriors.

This thread is so we don't need to scatter playoff discussions across 5 different player threads.

I expect a win Wednesday against the Warriors.

Let's get this done. One game. Focus, win and secure that 7 spot and first round matchup with the Suns.

Make Curry work every second he's out there. Don't let him get a clear look at the basket. Make Mr. Covid chase him around as soon as the ball is inbounded. Send him help at the half court line.

Force Green and Wiggins to carry their offense.

Green can only successfully cover Bron or AD, the other is free to dominate.

Same outlook on this game as it’s been for the past several weeks ever since this matchup become a likely possibility:

We SHOULD win. They don’t have the size or firepower to really threaten us. We generally do a decent job defending guards. We actually had contained Steph in our 3 matchups this year. In a 7 game series, I would be shocked if it went more than 5 games.

Problem is: it’s just one game. Steph CAN catch absolute fire and carry his team to a win.

We need to come out strong and dominate early. We can not allow it to be close in the fourth, because then all bets are off with Steph in there. Take an early lead and start planting the seeds in the Warrior’s heads that it might make more sense for them to rest and start looking towards the game against the 9 seed vs 10 seed winner.

yeah, so annoying that a team we'd beat 4-1 in a 7-gamer comes down to one game. and if you lose, you do it again!

there's a reason the ncaa tournament rarely selects the best overall team as champion. and why we play series in pro sports instead of single games.

In theory we should win, but this one and done thing, anything can happen.

I still say we win. Get the ball out of Curry's hands somehow. Pound them in the paint.

I know it’s a risk, but I’m actually really exited for the GS game. If Curry goes for 50 in this game I just give a tip of the hat to the greatest shooter ever. Great players have great games sometimes.

But I very much doubt that’s what happens. We’ve got the tools to shut Curry down (as much as you can shut him down), and the rest of his team doesn’t scare me at all. Draymond and the rest have to play a prefect game to beat us even if we’re not playing at 100% efficiency.

When we’re trying.... we’re a beast of a defensive team.

i think the mavs managed to beat gs when curry went absolutely off (think he had 60+?) a few weeks ago, so it can happen. i worry a bit that we don't always put points up. good news is that lebron looked good enough on offense last game. defensively, teams may try to go at him more than usual, though.

gs also goes super small a lot these days, so it will be interesting to see who drummond and marc guard.

i think this is the best i've ever seen him play, tbh. he looks stronger. you can still go at him defensively--as you can with basically all the non-draymond warriors--but he's in great shape and much more equipped to take a bruising than he was when he won his mvps.

I..am concerned. The Warriors have a lot of young players that don’t know they shouldn’t be playing this well in this moment. They play like they have nothing to lose because they don’t, Jordan Poole has especially been playing ridiculously well lately. I think we win, but I also think any team can have ONE bad game, which is why this play-in is so stupid, this isn’t college ball.

i can't imagine GS winning unless curry goes off for 50+ and shoots the lights out

guys like wiggins, bazemore, and poole aren't going to win them the game

Stay at 7 and our bracket will be Suns then winner of Nuggets/Blazers... could be worse ...

As I said before I expect a close loss against GSW as starters have not played a meaningful game for a damn while cause of the injuries .

I compare this game to Game 1 last season against the Blazers , couldn't flip the switch after sleeping through the regular season bubble.

Expect dumb TOs , missed FTs ...

We'll destroy the Grizz after though

Dubs, the hottest team in the NBA right now vs. recently "activated" Bron and AD. Can't believe it came down to this, we better crush them and move on to the REAL playoffs. This is some NCAA b******* that's hard to accept.
