30-point triple doubles performed by players over 35 years old: 8 — LeBron James 2 — all the other league players.

only had to play 34 minutes in a tight game and only had to carry for a short period.

Top 5 LBJ showed out yesterday and was the reason we won that game in the beginning of the 4th with his scoring barrage.

Great game and early in the season at that.

To do this in the back end of a b2b with is age and mileage is just insane. There's no exact word to describe, he surpassed the dictionary. I'm just in awe. What a guy

Masterful stretch as a one man wrecking crew out there to start the 4th. That's impressive out of context for anyone. But factor in the age and it's a second night of a back to back... unreal.

If we can keep that usage down, allowing him to keep that kind of burst in the tank when needed, that'll be such a luxury throughout the season.

It was a display of willing a win. I'd reckon those who saw it had the same impression with the exception of Hachimura. :)

Ive been getting killed for picking Bird over Lebron in the top 5.

My top 5 are Kareem, Magic, Bird, Jordan and Kobe. I have Lebron 6th.

You should be for picking Bird over LeBron. Length of dominating excellence in the league has to count an important portion of this rating, IMO. Bird without that excellent team around him in the 80s could never have put rosters on his back and gotten them to the finals …. as great as he was. And he was done being great because of his body a whole decade sooner than James. Same with Magic … great as he was.

won't wade into it other than to say that you pick your parameters fairly arbitrarily, and that defines the argument.

if it's say, 8-year peak, magic and bird have an argument against lebron, imo (i'd still take lebron over either, even though i love magic the player irrationally). but if it's taking full career into account, it's not close.
