Penberthy, another hyped sharpshooter legend that never really caught hold on the Lakers. Hope LeBron benefits.

I’ve been watching 4th quarters of past games and LeBron is just what this franchise needed to pull it out of the dump bin of incompetency. I feel lucky as a Lakers fan and I really think we will get at least one ring out of his tenure. Wish he could have come here sooner, but his Cleveland loyalties got in the way.

BI's game is Al Jeffersoneque. All stats, no wins. Julius Randle has that too. They are talents but not when it comes to winning.

Our stars play 25 and 27 minutes in the previous game and not a peep about their low minutes.

Actually I made that comment demonstrating how amazed I am at dude laying out for a loose ball with the amount of duress on his body we demand of him.

Why should I make a peep about their low minutes when even with a few blowout wins against lesser talent this season, Bron is still top 5 in total minutes played (in 20 games) and is only 3 minutes fewer in PT than Harden who is coached by MDA’s approach of running stars into the ground.

But more importantly take into consideration the age of the top 5 total mins leaders and then consider Bron’s playoff age compared to his competition.

I think that’s worth peeping over, rather than some outlier minutes in blowout games.

I think it’s only fair to comment on low minutes as it is on high but that’s just me.

    That’s fair.

More games like the Washington game then please. Cause when the playoffs come, I expect Bron to play damn near the whole game if it means a W. These regular season games, I don’t think it’s worth killing him over tho imho.

He seemed a little lost with whatever Dallas D (semi-zone) was throwing at the Lakers in 3rd.
I think this was confounded with him being played with Rondo as he just doesn't have any gravity: if we're going to use Rondo don't play him with Lebron when the offense clogs down opposite of what usually Bron needs. The move to AD at the 5 should normally work and you can run Lebron/AD PnR's to death but not w/o floor spacers at the other spots

It’s odd the AD/Bron PnR ain’t used at a higher clip. AD as the roll guy has 3 attempts per game (league high is 6) but in terms of all his offensive touches, he only rolls only 15% of the time (league high is 42%).

    https://stats.nba.com/players/roll-man/?sort=POSS&dir=1

Meanwhile Bron only goes to the PnR 7 times per game @ 25% clip (league highs are 15 possessions per and a 57% clip).

As for AD at the 5, most know how I feel about it. But if you even consider looking at our advanced lineup stats, I wouldn’t call an AD small ball lineup some type of advantage that destroys other teams. The Av-Caruso-Green-Bron-AD small ball lineup is the only one that shows promise on a small sample size.

I really think they should run that Lebron AD pick and roll ten times a game. Make folks have to choose their poison. It's dumb not to go to it much more than we are.

yeah Vogel will not show his cards so early in the season, not employing the pick & roll is prolly one of them so they have something new to unleash in the playoffs
