False positives for the win! Finally have a good feeling about playing the Clips for first time in years. And Dwight plus AD >>>>>>> Zubac and whomever (?) this year.

I say all of this is BS. The fear mongering over this is worse then the disease itself. Do we fear monger over cancer and heart disease? There were more deaths by both of these conditions in 2020 than Covid. Just add another thing to the list of things that can kill you!! How many people really make changes to their lives, unless they have direct correlations, to avoid death by heart disease or cancer? There are a ton of things you can do to decrease the odds of these types of things killing you. How many of us do anything??

Look, I am fully vaccinated, even had the booster. I do this because I have a low grade type II diabetes and my wife works in the medical field, plus I am getting up there in age and am in a vulnerable group. But I still hate the fear mongering and mandates our government is putting on us.

I am not sure how Lebron relates to all this but he stands on the precipice of losing his ability to make a living in his profession and he ought to be concerned. I know this is political and you all can remove it if you want, but this is effecting everyone and everything and has an awful lot to do with sports in todays world. Fact is, if we are going to continue down this path, we might as well abolish all team sports because they are all way too in demand socially and in too close of contact according to everything being told to us.

I am officially sick of it all.

Duly noted. We all f****** are. The gift that keeps on giving. Doesn’t mean it can be ignored. Talk to Embiid about it this year.

At least we’ve moved past the LED walls and cardboard cutouts in place of fans in the stands. Excellent.

I love this forum and moderators. They take all my incessant whining and complaining. Also, the negativity and trolling.

But I ask you sincerely, moderators: can we please issue a polite "knock it off" for the COVID talk, please?

This website is a reprieve for me. It's an escape. I don't want to come to the LBJ thread and have to deal with this topic where it results and takes up pages and pages of the LBJ thread.

    Thank you.

Wino is frustrated. He vented. Give him a break. The rest including LeBron and fans in the stands and Embiid is on topic

Let’s all please cut out the Covid talk. Lebron is coming back and it’s no longer relevant.

Respectfully, not only is COVID a part of our lives, it is also part of the NBA and specifically our Lakers. IMO, I don't think fans should be discouraged from discussing this topic, because it is indeed relevant.

Certainly as it relates to availability for our team and opponents. But not beyond that as it spirals off team topic.

I definitely wanted Hartenstein over DAJ
Not that he's good or anything but DAJ is bad

I know that ... so as long as the "someone else" is vaccinated , it matters less .

I'm just saying we'll have to accept the virus keeps spreading and stops the quarantine thing at one point

I get that you’re frustrated and venting here, but LB needs to be a refuge from Covid opinion talk like LBD said above. Discussions can’t devolve from how LeBron and the Lakers will deal with Covid protocols into how Covid protocols are a good/bad idea.

If we keep our opinions on Covid’s handling out of LB, the forum stays focused on basketball…. as much as it can be nowadays anyway, and a much needed refuge from these frustrating discussions.
