30 year old PG. Has been playing in China, played in the NBA from 07-10. scored around 73 points in a game in China two years back.
I was thinking the same thing a couple of weeks ago; matter of fact, Ronnie helped Lillard's initiation into the league when he was playing in Portland. Could have been a good pesky defender and veteran for Russell to allow room to grow.
it's odd that the lakers haven't looked harder at vet pgs. didn't bobby brown play for the kings briefly a few years back? I remember him as an undersized scoring guard, not unlike jabari brown. more pg-ish, but not a pg. anyway, the signing of holmes and all this talk of working guys out says that bobby sac and r Kelly best not get too comfy with their guaranteed deals. is trading r Kelly for bobby brown a real thing? can this happen? what are kc and jojo going to think?
professional approach, knows his role, been under Byron's system...noone that would demand a big contract...sounds like the FO might have dropped the ball on this one now they're looking at retread guards out of China
I haven't seen Bobby Brown play in years, it's a very odd choice to me. I'd have to think there are a number of better options for backup vet PG out there. Isn't Luke Ridnour still available?
now you got that stupid beat/hook in my head...not even this sunday night football game is getting rid of it, thanks
Bobby recently played for the national team in the World Games. He looked alright. I wouldn't mind him as a 3rd string PG for us actually. The only issue I have is that I have literally no idea if he's a good role model or not. Playing for the national team is a good sign, but I don't need a good PG as our 3rd guy I need a mentor. Is Bobby Brown a good mentor?
I'm with you (guys) all the way, but every little step the front office makes towards getting us a vet pg...any vet PG is a move in the right direction. Because what we've got isn't good enough. Is this the end of our summer long pursuit for PFs (even transforming our own Kobe into one)? Don't be cruel Mitch, balance out this roster for us a little.
Eric Morland and D.J. Kennedy are among the camp invites. On another note, Perry Jones isn't a lock to make Boston's roster; he's been disappointing so far during his first few years in the league. On the flip side, he's only 23, a big SF, and has some talent. Should we take a look?
