I still think it should be physically impossible for a player to jump into the air falling seriously backwards for a J from 35 feet out. Thanks Mike for showing Kobe that in the mid range. Thanks Kobe for doing it from long distance. [IMG]

Kind of like Swaggy perfecting the 4 point "3" for future generations .... [IMG]

Kobe will pass Karl Malone. He will be too close to turn back at the end of his current contract. He's survived surgeries, injuries, he's even survived Brown, MDA and his frenemy Byron Scott. I think he still holds too much of a grudge to spend his days looking up at Karl Malone's name on that all-time board. (nobody wants to know how Malones a@# tastes.)

Now passing Kareem is another thing entirely and i'm not saying that. I just think he wants to put some space between him and the Dirks, Lebrons, and Durants. Once Lebron loses athleticism significantly then he will not pass Kobe on points ( but he has been a franchise player in terms of playing times since he entered the league and is all about the stats remember.)

I dont see it. I mean I'm sure Kobe could pass Karl, but the way he has been looking in interviews and especially with regards to some of the things he has said so far this year after games about Father Time really coming down hard on him and always feeling tired and sore. I just dont see him last past this contract he already has.

I really do hope I'm wrong but I in all my heart don't see Kobe continuing especially if we miss out again this summer and he's got to carry this heavy load again.

Won't happen unless we get Durant (or some other star(s)) and Kobe feels like he can get another Championship.

The chances are slim that happens, so I predict retirement after next season.
