I mean, it's the point where the club knows the team not gonna reach the playoffs. this kid shown potential in training. tonight in the win against GS his shots werent falling but you could see he has game. and you could see in his eyes he is absorbing everything around him.
he is one of the players who will be here next year, so why not playing him more minutes. if Price and Elington are hot like tonight so it's ok, but i would like to see what this kid can do with CONFIDENCE.

Played alright in limited minutes. He's still outrunning everything, rushing his shots. He looked better in the second half and had a REALLY nice floater in the lane. I wasn't impressed with the floater itself as much as I was impressed with his patience getting to the shot. He kept the defender on his butt and waited until the defender committed to Boozer. Great shot. Obviously he's also a really hard worker out there and a good hustler. He can learn a lot from watching Price's film from this last game. Close in on the easy passes and pressure ball-handlers into spots they don't want to be. Active hands.

Watching him last night I saw nothing to change my opinion: he's going to be a solid NBA player.

He does need time, but with Byron's rotations there isn't any to be had. He's not a PG and we already have 2 of those, and at SG Ellington has clearly earned any minutes ahead of him. I have said we need to see what he's got and get him some time as well, but unless it's a game Kobe is taking off, or Price is cut, don't see much time in his future.

Some time would be great, but like Weezy said, he's going to be the last guy on the totem pole right now as a rook. But I do like seeing him get some burn.

I know Ronnie had a great game last night, but what are the chances of him duplicating that? Slim to none I'd say. If/when Ronnie goes through a bad stretch of games I'd like to see us move in another direction. Give Clarkson every second that Ronnie is playing. He needs the time to develop and improve. In just one half he found a way to calm down and play within himself more. He clearly has the talent though at this level.

Maybe we're trying to hide him so teams are less inclined to ask for him in trades?

I really like this guy, we've been finding decent players late in the draft with JC and Kelly. They just need to get some burn though.

The last thing we need to do in a season where we are soooo close to locking up the #1 playoff seed and making our championship run is prioritizing developing any of our talented young players.

Clarkson has potential. I'm not sure if Byron does not see it, or maybe he simply doesn't like to play newbies.

He really needs to work on finishing at the rim. Two blown layups tonight. First one was wide open.

Yeah. You see glimpses with Clarkson but there is a lot he still needs to work on.

Plays the passing lanes really well for being a rookie. Not the gambling variety either, just always in a good defensive position.

Watched some of his play in D league and he seems to be tearing it up. Almost as interesting as watching the Lakers right now. That's gotta be a sign that he's at least good enough for the NBA no?

D-League is interesting. Some guys beast in D-League and can't stick on a team in the NBA. Others are legit NBA players, but they don't beast in the D-League.

Ten steal was great, but he's gotta dunk that, and I believe by his reaction he will from now on. I also enjoyed his swatting Brooks shot at the rim out of nowhere. He does need more minutes though, he played like 11 to Price's 29, I mean come on.

    it's a little like summer league in it's non-diagnosticity. it's a different game, really.

as for his game in the nba, I think scott is right not to throw him to the wolves at the pg spot, and I think it's probably hard to tell ellington he's not going to play so that you can develop your second rounder 30 games into the season. I'm guessing that Clarkson will get more reps after the lakers are out of the playoff race for good. so, in like, 10 games.
