yeah, i've honestly started to tune that guy out entirely. just seems like he wants to tell his own story instead of commenting or reporting.
I found her comments on an internal leak of Robs contract extension way more interesting than anything else.
That said, like many other things, it is what it is with our team for now. I don’t like the brain trust she’s assembled but despite my criticisms I don’t hate Jeanie as an owner. Just want her to unleash the full potential of the organization. If Ham succeeds (and I think he will) maybe she will take a similar approach and shape up the front office. We will see.
Do you think she knows Pelinka and Lowe are not the same person? https://www.basketballnetwork.net/o...jeanie-buss-lighter-side-she-calls-me-pelinka
Bronny to the Lakers is going to be a thing if those in power in LA that can force it into existence.
Makes no difference her care in answering the question …. $100,000 ticket from the league under her windshield wiper when she left that day (probably ).
Wow, that's bad. What can you really say to that. I suppose if it happens it won't be a terrible thing because it will possibly spur some action.
This is a cop-out: blame Lebron/AD for the Westbrook trade but losing Caruso is totally on Rob and Jeannie Just losing assets such as Zubac/Caruso for nothing has been a staple of this team: the days of being able to live off your NBA team are over - you're competing against hedge fun/silicon valley types now. If you're too cheap to do the right thing you better have some of the best decision makers around (i.e. Sam Presti) and conduct your business in a professional manner not as family business. The Rambis thing is just mind blowing: the dude was a f***ing disaster in Minnesota and his reward is having a big say with the biggest franchise in the sport???
i'm on your side, but devil's advocate: sam presti would have us trading lebron and AD and renting out space for picks while playing the lotto for the next 6 years. is that how you want to play it? lol--you know who i almost want back just to steer through the russ situation? mitch. company man who isn't afraid to take some lumps in the press and also hasn't apparently personally offended all other gms.
I'd argue that Sam presti is LA would be the scariest thing for the NBA precisely because that strategy is meant for OKC. Here in LAL he can actually get FA's! My best guess on Presti based on how he dealt with OKC was to try find undervalued assets (oladipo) to pair with AD/Lebron and definitely not a Westbrook type move. You and I both agreed that the Lakers should have gone after a guy like Siakam who was coming off a down year and that more like Presti's move when he did have a good team that was still handicapped by being in OKC
