he looks like someone that i'm not upset to have playing 15mpg against backups. and that's great for a vet min pickup. he's surprised me with his quick, purposeful movements on offense. he cuts, screens, moves the ball efficiently when he catches out of his scoring zone. very good.
Its nice to have a capable big behind AD. We've either had old guys or unathletic guys or short guys to back up AD and now we have Hayes (and Wood).
I actually like him very much. He also seems like a very likeable guy, based on interactions with his teammates we can observe on the floor. Imagine Phil doing his thing with this dude. His passing alone should give us a reason. He did it several times the previous game too. Passing out of the double or hard switch... I can absolutely live with AD + Colin + Hayes going forward. And if Wood ever decides to not be a moron on D... him too.
he's won the backup c minutes, imo. wood's going to have to get himself in shape, prove it in practice, and be ready when AD or hayes gets hurt.
More high flying from Jaxson on this block attempt even though he drew the foul. Great effort and way the hell up there. .... and more egregious ref f*** up no calls tonight. This was brutal ... he got clobbered not some light hit in the face as he was shooting and they didn't see it.
I don’t necessarily think he needs more minutes, but I love the energy he brings while he’s out there. He has the versatility to guard 3-5, presents a real lob threat on offense, and never really tries to force anything. Seems to know his role
